Great looking bags! How would you compare each iron set? i-701tours vs. ztx vs. 745 /945?

Actually.. Here is the fully updated bag. As I said, games gotten harder due to Covid, life, and to some degree lousy weather.     Will say for the first time, maybe ever.. I'm completely ha

Rev 1..those were s***. Orange looked more peach. Rrrr just going or order the bb&f and be done

And then they all matched...      Although these recently came in..

701s by far the easiest to hit, highest launching

701 tours by far the most demanding but not overly difficult. When you square a ball that feeling of compression...

Ztx won two closest to the pins.. Just didn't stay in the bag for whatever reason

Ztx 2.. Basically 745s daddy.. Complete with tungsten weights in the low irons

545 very good irons. High and long.. Can be played to single digits easily

745 perfect for decent ball strikers. More workable, equally long but not as high

945 the hidden gems. Not hard to hit all. Very good feedback on mishits,

If I had to play one set, it'd be the 745

Honestly I have no idea how they can improve on them.

Thanks! Yeah, I'm gaming the tours, and can definitely can feel it and see it if I don't hit the ball pure. I love the look at address, the feel, pretty much everything about them, just am intrigued by the ZTX, 745's, etc., but wanted to know if it was worth the switch or not.

How are the DI's fairing Russ? Maybe a bit too early to give a decent opinion? FWIW, you should try the Tour AD GP, is a fantastic shaft in my opinion. Maybe no tipping would be needed, but it still has a reasonably smooth feel by with some real 'zip' through transition and into impact for me. Slightly lower launch than the DI, hence the need for any tipping to be curtailed. But a lovely shaft. Works fabulously well in my M2 Driver.

If you ever get the chance, go try!

Nice gear... Srixon's look so clean in the bag don't they? How do you like the AD DIs in all your woods?

so one range session and one round with the dis. obviously the verdict is still out but I think they will remain in. The 6x is similar to the rogue silver I was playing but Im getting more carry. More importantly, I have never hit the center of the face so consistently. Currently the F6+ is in the penetrating slot and thing isnt the most forgiving position. The 3w and baffler were equally good on the range and performed equally well during the one round. I think once I get some more confidence, the baffler can be a game changer for me.

I need to spend a day just pounding balls with the woods.

no more steel fibers???! blasphemy!!!!

my frankenset has 110 cws throughout and 125s in the wedges... though I am considering trying the regular flex

Ok LTD is out. I can absolutely see what all the love is for. Unfortunately the Pro version is just a little to low spin/launch for me. It is however forgiving. I would spring for the reg but when looking down, I had fond recollections of my original R9. For the first time, how a club looked at address genuinely effected my commitment to the shot. Now that said, its not horrible, it just doesnt suit my eye..

Which brings me back to the F6+. Next to the J33 420, I dont think there has been a better looking head at address. For whatever reason, I wanna smile when I look down on it. Unfortunately, the F6+ had a accident:

If you haven't seen it upclose, the F6 weight is not solid. The orange is a covering with something underneath to give it its mass. That something looks like:

0603161406_HDR_zps5lkn31dh.jpg

I already emailed Cobra and will likely have to have it sent back, which SUCKS because I already had to send it back once for the weight rail itself. I wish I could chalk it up to my beefcakeness.. but I can assure you its not the case

Worse still, stupid me took the Rogues along and wouldnt you know it, I was hitting them better than the Di. Especially in the driver and baffler. Even with the weight forward, the DI wanted to run up where the rogue wanted to go...

Im not ready to dump the Dis just yet.. but the rogues are coming with me to Rhode Island.

such a fickle game..

Also, the J is butt stiff but tip soft, the K is butt soft, tip stiff. It comes down to your swing at the end.

Thanks, don't think I would like the J then. Really like the load but firmness in the tip.

I'd still say to try it. The tip is soft relative to the butt, doesn't mean it's like noodle soft. I was surprised how well it worked despite the profile. Only problem was that it worked great for me in a G30 LS head, not in any other driver. Not yet at least.

Need to update as the rogues snuck back in... However I've got another round w elements chrome on the horizon

Can you post some pictures, please? And also give your opinion comparing the Element Chrome to the other shafts you played in your Driver and Fairway wood? Thanks!

I will this weekend. Ordered a 7F5T for the baffler based off the drivers performance.

Though not nearly as sexy, the 588 mts are just so silly easy that the made the U45 expendable *gasp* .. I know but its true. Also grabbed a 7f5t for the baffler. Having some really promising results with the 6f5t in my F6+ figured what the heck. Oddly enough, previous experience with the Chromes wasnt so good.

Now if only it would drop under 100* for three seconds..

Cobra price drops + your pictures make me want to try the Baffler, even though I've already seen it in person and don't like the shape too much (only first impressions though).

Puppet... I think throwing in one of your beloved Rmobaxs would be a god send for you. As u mentioned, play it at 17.5* and drop the 3w/hybrid

I wanted to use the Rombax 8D07 in this, because I wanted to play it short (like 40") and heavy, but since you say it doesn't take the hybrid adapter, I'll have to figure something else out. I have an old RIP 90 in a 5W I could use. Or maybe I'll just "have to" buy something else.
