I grew up using a few, but are they my favorites still today? What is your favorite OEM and why?

Titleist, classic solid players clubs, no frills or gimmicks, just what an old fart like me wants.

Years ago MacGregor, but I finally wore a hole through my irons and the company just wasn't what it was anymore.

I think if you're talking about the entire line...irons, woods, wedges, putters, shoes, balls...yadda yadda, no one is close to Titleist.

The funny thing is, they come in second or third in many categories...but they're second or third in EVERY category...strong brand, and its not because they pay...

that said, I use none of their crap!! :(

They're not listed but I like Tourstage. Why? You mean besides the fact that they have a product line that looks, feels, and plays great; classic (and classy) looks; solid (read not pingy) sound? Well...since you asked--I don't see the clubs (Tourstage) I play in eveyone else's bag when I'm out on the course.

I also like Titleist for much of the same reason--expect that they're in every other bag out on the course. (I voted for them guys. )

At first I had Hogan selected. I've always loved their irons. They're extremely under rated. The apex plus are one of mine all time favorite items. The new progressive set is a close second. The problem is they haven't competed in the other areas for years.

I ended up picking Mizuno. They are my all around favorites. I'd have no problem playing a bag full of mizuno clubs. MP-001 driver, 001 fairways (or even t-zoids), mp-32s, mp series wedges, and a TP mills from a few years back. Besides, mizuno did make one of the best drivers ever 300s..

Now if we're talking what company would you be sponsored by thats a different story :P

I voted for Callaway. Hands down the best customer service I have seen. Callaway has been so accomodating. I have been able to trade in drivers that I did not like, have new clubs built to spec to replace old ones. The list goes on.

Every company makes a good product. Not all companies back it up. Are you listening TM, Titleist ?

I agree 100% the best customer service is Callaway hands down...

I guess I have to go with ping. I have played my eye 2 coppers on and off for about 15 years. I have also had a ping putter collection that was pretty sick. Unfortunately I got into camerons and sold most of them.

Went with Mizuno. In the last 19 years, since I began playing, I've used 4 sets of Mizunos. 2 sets of TP9s, a set of TP 11s, (then went and used some Ping Eye2 berylliums for a few years) and a set of MP14s.. Also, used Mizuno wedges for a time in my teens. For me, they are the best blades out there, although, perversely I now use Nikes.

Never much cared for Mizuno woods. I did try the Hot Metal line years back, but a Taylor Made 3 wood has been a permanent fixture in my bag since 1988.

All-round, in terms of a full bag of clubs, the winner would be Titleist. I use a 975J.VS now, and previously used a 975D. Both fantastic drivers. The irons are great too. The 690, 680 and 670 are all great clubs, and the 681s are a fantastic set. Wedge-wise, a couple of Vokeys have recently displaced my staplew diet of Cleveland 599s which I have used for about 15 years. Obviously, the beloved

Cameron putters are nominally Titleist offerings too.

Never much cared for Hogan, although some of the 80s Apex irons were nice. Cleveland make great wedges, but the irons and woods never did it for me. Taylor Made make some great clubs, but I don't like the RAC blades. The last set they made that I liked were the TP Tours. Wilson? Haven't made a good club since the FG51..

Yes. I'll go with Mizuno, for the quality of their irons. If you made me play all 14 clubs by one manufacturer though, I'd go with Titleist.

I voted Taylormade,

The TM woods are always top performers and the RAC Tour Y cutters are great wedges. TM also has a great putter line that seems to be growing quickly.

My favorite TM products:

1. Taylormade TP Driving Iron

2. Taylormade R7 ( not TP )

3. Taylormade Y-Cutter Tour wedges

Coming soon is the R7-XR and XR Fairway Wood. My only beef with the XR line is that they are 15% more expensive than regular TM models.

Mine is still Titleist...just classic and the clubs look so sweet. I've got the 704CB's in the bag now...and the Titleist black Staff bag. Just looks so sweet.

Also, with the putters and balls, It's hard to beat.

I'm also a big fan of Bridgestone, and if it wasn't for Titleist, I'd have picked them. I've actually used a lot more Precept/Tourstage/Bridgestone stuff the last few years, but have Titleist now.

Taylor Made, because they make the best woods out hands down & ohh because they are my sponsor but in the woods catagory nobody is in a stones throw distance to them.

I agree also on customer service. I had a stand bag that the strap kept breaking every two years and they just kept replacing it. Does not say much about the bag but you have to like thier service and every complaint i had they have setled.

I got into golf in 2000. The major names I knew were Taylormade, Titleist, and Callaway. My first set was Callaway. Easy to hit, forgiving, and a top name is what kept me with them (at the beginning). The shape is the only other thing keeping me with them. I've had an all-Callaway bag for a very long time (even the Callaway putters) and don't see myself changing anytime soon.....
