Your cheapest putter

The cheapest putter I bought and played with was a 12 dollar K Mart putter that had an Anser style head but was made of what appeared to be a zinc alloy. From memory it was made for a kid and was probably as long as that short putter Garrigus used on the PGA tour but it served me faithfully for 12 months before it was replaced by one of those status symbol putters that I thought would make me putt better. If only I had kept all the putters I have owned *sigh* But then again I don't have that much storage space lol.

Taylormade TPI 25 Center shaft. $25 from Ebay. Cut to 31 inch with a piece of lead to make it feel not so light.

i dont uderstand why you would buy a nice putter and putt with a peice of junk...? whats the point of buying the putter then?

The first is an almost new J C Snead 405 that a pawn shop gave me.

 

 

I brought some irons and the guy felt bad about what he charged me [$80 for a set of eye-2's] so he gave me these putters

I just picked up a Ping Anser F for ~$45. Not including gifts, it's now my cheapest putter. It's pretty beat up so I'm going to send it in to be refinished. Even after that, it'll probably still be my cheapest putter. Might even game it if it turns out good.

I've been playing a GolfMate blade putter since last September. I paid $14 for it at The Academy. Put a Winn grip on it and its the 2nd best putter I've had and the cheapest.

Well it's back.. My M5L offset bullseye has made it in the bag. It's my oldest putter and i have held on to it since i probably couldn't sell it for anything resembling money. It just rolls so well. The baby T on it cost more than the putter did.

after being inspired by this thread, Bought a fat lady off ebay awhile back 18 bucks shipped. Great putter. It really needed a new grip. I ended up installing a PING AVS jumbo i pulled off my redwood. Really nice putter, and great off the collar as wolfpack would tell you. I originally got one for a buddy of mine looking for a putter. he loves his so much i had to try it out! home run!

Cheapest putter was free when I worked at a country club and a member was about to throw away a bunch of clubs but instead let me have them. It was a ping anser 2 putter and I had no idea if it was good or not. A few years later and I found out the putter is pretty rare as it was the copper version and it had a good amount of patina on it that I almost refinished. Good thing I didn't. Great putter too!

I built 2 TM ghost putters for around $50 each. A Corza Tour and an MA-81 Tour. The MA-81 is in the bag and going up against a new TEE DG V1.1 and a Black Series Tour #9 this weekend to see which will stay for the winter.

$35 fat lady swings. Macgregor version. It kicked out the dual force rossie 2 that I got as a freebie in when I bought some eye 2's off craigslist. both are great putters, but I just broke down and bought a Ping Nome off ebay. It almost killed me to pay $130 for a freaking putter, but I loved the way it felt when I rolled one in the store.
