It was a 10.5* XR 16 Pro turned to 9.5 with an ADDI 7x until I broke the face last week.

 

I just dumped a bunch of stuff in trade for an Epic SZ 9* with a Rogue Max 70x (that will likely get pulled for the ADDI)

they are both swing weighted to be identical.

I use them depending on the course layout. G30 if I need to put it where I want and the G if I have a little more space to let the ball roam.

I'm confused. After reading through 14 pages of posts (i burned out reading anymore), where are all the M1's, M2's and EPIC's? I get the impression from the message boards that everyone is running out to get the latest and greatest. I'm a 4 HC, and still play a 910D2, but was looking at a new M2 or Sub Zero. After reading some of the posts, I may go and dust off my 983K (or 983J) and get on a monitor...

I've tried almost everything out there. Last count I had 24 driver heads most tour issued and I play what hits fairways and helps me score. That seems to be older gear. I have both M series, 816dbd, 915 all 3heads etc. Play what works for you. I find the older stuff easier to hit and control.

Love the small open head, shaft is perfect, I bomb this sucka, and can work it both directions on demand. I won't be changing to a new setup for a long time.

I'm fairly surprised how many Adams Speedline heads are in this thread. I use one and love it. Surprised it is so well represented. It is really, really cheap on the bay right now too. Interesting.

 

Seeing much, much less Ping and Callaway than I thought I would. TM and Titleist are up there, with a few Cobras.

 

Didn't expect NEARLY as much Cobra and Adams. Titleist seems like the hands down winner, though.

 

Obviously this isn't scientific, but its interesting.

 

The amount of titleist/Callaway, and the lack of Ping surprises me most. I'm on my 3rd straight ping driver.

Have two drivers, one for on the course, the other for practice.

 

For the Course - Nike Covert 1.0 Tour, adjusted to 9.5 degrees Neutral, 60 S+ Diamana Blueboard, Golf Pride MC4 with 2 wraps of tape.

 

For the Range - Powerbilt TPS Persimmon from 1991. Working on controlling the length of my backswing this winter, and the Powerbilt has been great for that - with it's Persimmon head and Boron shaft from the same era, it's interesting keeping it straight :)

62 years old with driver swing speed of about 108 mph. In some preliminary testing, the Frankenclub is within 10 yards of the M1. Surprising!
