Tour only now, and I am sure it will never happen, but one can hope for a 'deep mill' in a future Cameron OTR line. It's the only way I'll ever get to own one!

Wait for scottys 2012 line!!! I hear deep milled and tour colored CNC grips will be available through the Custom Shop! Time will tell. I've seen the pink and white colred CNC grips sell for $500+!!! Insane!!!

Just bought the Newport 2. Was using the Odyssey Sabertooth prior to that. After my first round, I can tell that Scotty's are worth the money!

If you already have a scotty and you wanna trick it out send to putterlounge.com they can deep mill the face to see if like it before you drop 3000 on a tour putter, they can also paint it any color you want paintfill stamps and sight lines or dots they're great, I did mine to see if I really liked the deep milled face and a few other things before I dropped that much money ( which is alot of money for putter or any golf club) but I love it, and now I'm looking to purchase a tour newport in black...

[b]The copper inserts are BACK! I'm a fan. Prefer all copper heads but that smoked black finish copper Del Mar takes the W for me. I can't get over how this newer face milling I'll call the 'large circle' pattern on many of those putters is so exactly identical to what Kirk Currie did on his own and for Wilson Staff putters the better part of a decade ago. Seems kinda sad to me that it would be within like .02 millimeters the exact same pattern coming from S/C. But then again, Kirk Currie also busted out the first copper insert working with Slazenger and it's within 1/10,000th of an inch flush with the steel head, no elastomer crap behind the copper and none needed. Those came out about a full year before the S/C - Bettinardi TC3 copper inserts so it wouldn't be the first time something's copied I guess. Sign of flattery in the end, it would appear, plus SC's gone a LONG ways with Titleist for comin up on 2 decades.

All that said, I do like the Del Mar quite a bit but couldn't get myself to part ways with $3-5Hundy to get one anyway... (if I could even get a hold of one in the first place).

I kick around looking for other putters every year, but always go back to my baby - Newport Mil-Spec 34" I've had for a decade - still in great shape, but I might send it in after this year for a refinish and get it authenticated. Anyone know how much value gets added by having the certificate of authenticity?

Value wont go up at all. A COA is really only good for a tour or prototype putter in case a potential buyer thinks it may be aftermarket. unfortunately authenticating a Mil-Spec would be wasting your money, and you might as well spend it on the refinish and stamps instead.
