Graphite Design Tour AD DI

I just picked up a 6s to put in my 910d3 but I'm curious about how much to tip it. My ss is about 105 with medium tempo and a highish launch. So should I tip it more than the 1/2 in for the 910 tip? Thanks.

That's what I'll end up doing. Just seemed like a lot of people were harping on getting the tipping right. Just curious what their experiences were with it.

Anyone with experiences with a 8s? I Just got a 3 wood from a member here, and want to know what to expect from it.

Its a higher launch, right? I was just using the stock Kai'li on it. The ball would just zip on out of there, rarely getting high in the air

The site says its a 83.5 grams. I do like a heavier shaft in my woods

has anybody used this in a G15 or 910D2?
put this shaft, AD Di 6S, on my 910 D2. 18 hdcp. Big numbers from wayward drives have disappeared. 3 months later now a 13 hncp and everyone comments on how straight I hot the driver. Strongly promote it!

I'm playing a vs proto 65s in my 910D2 right now. I've always hit the driver really low (launch is about 11.0* on flightscope) and im looking to get something that carrys a bit more, as i can sometimes struggle getting it out there a little on the wet scottish fairways. I've read a lot about this being a high launcher so think it might be a good shout. SS is 104. What do you guys think i should go for?

Please explain. Fakes that is!

I just picked a 7x up from my Adams LS Super Fairway Wood. I already have the 6x in my driver and love it so decided to give it a shot in the FW.

Could you help me out please? I live in South Dakota where getting a chance to try different shafts out usually isnt possible. I currently play an i15 with a RIP Alpha 2.9 Stiff shaft. My swing speed is in the 98-105 range. Would i see any value in moving to a GD Tour AD DI 6 Stiff shaft? Thanks!

I have been playing the RIP a 70 S in my SuperTri for 2 or 3 years. My ss pretty much matches yours. I tried the DI 6 in both S and X last year. The S was was inconsistent for me, really good when it was good but I had a tendency to get wild with it later in rounds (this is my tendency with most sub 70g shafts I have tried). The X was just a little too much shaft for me. Good swings were amazing but I couldn't elevate it when I missed the center of the clubface. I know feel is subjective but these shafts feel awesome, especially compared to the RIP. I might give one a go again this year but I'm hitting the RIP great right now. For reference my hc is at 7 right now . I'm not a shaft expert by any means but if you like 60g shafts it might be worth looking at. My best ones with the DI beat my best with the RIP but two bad ones cost me a tourney last year. Can't speak to the i15, its lower spinning the my ST should be a high launch low spin monster with the DI.

As much as I like this shaft since I switched to the X flex I don't think I will ever be able to buy another one. I had a DI6 crack inside the hosel, took it to the location here in HAWAII that I purchased it from and had it installed at. No luck of having it replaced by warranty. They wouldn't even give me a reason why. This is after I guess the store and G.D talked about it. Store sent a photo or two and thats it.

The thing that really sucks is that I can't even have it installed into a 3 wood due to the tipping.
funny thing, your break reminds me of a similar incident that I had with one of my shafts.

I took my clubs with me on a flight and I had a chance to play the next day after I landed.

I believe that I did not pack my golf clubs properly and I believe that the flight (heating and freezing of luggage areas on flight) made the graphite too brittle right near the tip where it torques the most. I was playing it on the back nine and it let go...

...it was that or the way the airline ramp jockeys handled the luggage...Fedex guys exempted...lol

Is the 7s way more stout than the 6s?
the DI's and DJ definitively different.

DJ can be torqued much more. I can barely hit the 7's and the 8's can't even imagine how one hits those unless you have a 110+ swing speed.

the DI 6's definitively need a smooth swing.

BUt the Quattrotech's are the strongest of the GD's. You need to be a 'gorilla' with massively harsh transactions speeds.

With correct tipping, this is a mid launch low spin beast. I have a 7 TX in a driver and it's killer. I've fit many people into the 6 for a higher launch with a touch of spin and the 7 and 8 for stronger players and fairway woods. As with all of the Tour AD line, tipping is crucial. Get it right and it's the best!
Just picked up a black Tour AD DI 7 stiff shaft for my 913 D3 driver, just curious what kind of tipping would be required for a 102 ss? I also play my driver at a shorter 44.5" length, was thinking tipping 1/2" per Titleist standard specs.

Anyone have experience with the AD DI 85S hybrid shaft? Thinking about putting one in my 913 Hd.

That is unusual. Graphite Design is almost always willing to step up if the shaft was installed by one of their certified retailers/installers.

This shaft is a performer, although I don't particularly like the way it feels. Not a spinner in x and you can play a lillte less static loft because it is easy to launch. Not for me but it plays very similar to a blueboard. For the money I would stick to Mitsubishi.

Alrighty.... Too late to talk me out of it:

I had been waiting a LONG time to see if I would be able to order "off menu" with Callaway, and was hoping to get a Oban Gold 75 in stiff (they only offer X flex in that weight)... After waiting, without any further progress coming, I decided to order another BB fairway with the AD-DI 7 (stiff) ... What can I expect? Sounds like there is a ton of MIXED feedback on this shaft feeling too loose, while others say the tip is SOLD...

I am talking fairway wood specific, not driver...

Thanks in advance for the help
