If GolfWRX is #1....who is #2

im agree with what people are saying about the sandtrap forum and it seems like a general observation of the guy. Iacas does control the forum like north korea, micro manages it to death. Deletes tons of posts and give negative rep points when there was nothing wrong with them. I took lessons from the guy and I felt like I couldnt ask questions and if I did he would be defensive in his answers. After I stopped taking lessons he started deleting my posts and treating me like a troll. Hes a weird dude.

btw- their reputation system is bad. People get bad rep and banned all the time for no reason. very biased place. I also have noticed that the people there feel the need to worship him like some God to get on his good side or something -like others have said in this thread

I definitely agree, I don't go on sandtrap anymore because of Iacas. Seems like he on their to promote S&T. Most ppl on the site for some reason feel the need praise him liKe a god, which I'm sure he loves.
Iacas of the sandtrap isnt a very friendly guy thats for sure. It would be such a better forum without his personality running everything, sad really, he could of had a really good thing. I saw him make a post that he doesnt have many friends in his personally life at home, gee I wonder why.

btw- he did a few things to my account which were crazy, like go into my account and changed my handicap etc.. I think he read my mail too.

I left BSG over 5 years ago and went to Tourspecgolf. I was one of the first few members there until I found GolfWRX. This place has been consistently better over the years even though there were lulls when the rats were coming here from the sinking ship. Many may not remember one of the originals was Golfopinions, which was the spring board for BSG.
I've been on the boards for the better part of a decade. I have seen the rise and fall of many golf websites. Mostly the fall is due to online disputes, out of control ego's, and bad moderating. I don't see a fall anytime soon for GolfWRX. GxGolfer, Easyyy, and the Mod team make this place great. Open and honest, which is hard to find online these days.

GolfDiscussions used to be good. I think GolfDiscussions still has some decent guys. They may be #2, you will see a lot of the same names there as here. I like their BST structure with retail/tour seperated.
4GEA.com is still a place to swap and trade, more for the old guys. Lots of Stiff and R flex stuff if you're into that.
The CameronCollector is also ok but obviously limited focus. A bit too many wanna-be chiefs and a lot of skiddish little indians.
Tourspec is good for JDM info but kinda dead for BST. They've sort of limited their focus to very very wealthy folks and lost the rest of us I feel. They've always been overpriced.
BSG isn't dead but it's on life support. Their owner shot himself in the foot with his ego and now he's moved on to other interests. BSG remains only as a hobby for him I think now, I don't think he's making all that much money. If he'd drop the fee for BST ads he'd pick up some traffic again.
HP is cool. I haven't spent much time there but did get a set of those TM prototype balls to try.

That sand trap is lunacy , I as banned with not even 80 posts . Ridiculed / belittled / harassed for believing in another form of playing golf than they promote . He sent me a few pm's calling me a mother f""Er as well .

Love Hackers Paradise , but more for guys that are playing in their events . If you don't play in their events you have feeling you are chatting with yourself sometimes

And their mobile site is a mess. I spend too much time in the website help section trying to figure out which ads are causing me to be redirected to the App Store.

That class action lawsuit about the site causing blindness has really hurt them.

Seriously though WRX is still the real deal. HP is okay but it's a bit hokey and obsessed with their own events. Way more knowledgeable people on here.

All these posts about that guy Iacas are cracking me up.. I think that sandtrap site has more new golfer/hacker types with wild fabricated stories, which honestly are hilarious too...

freegolfinfo.com is a nice community but it is really small compared to wrx. Great group of guys, though.

That site is so broken .. Can't post without error message on an iPad ios device . What about secret in the dirt ? Used to post on there a year ago , is it still a ghost town ?

Cool place but it kind of fits a unique niche (extremely in depth instruction discussions) and not much else. There are people who like to passionately discuss that sort of thing, but not really enough to make a forum explode.

Iron covers and hats indoors though? You'll get a lot of people coming out of the woodwork for that ;)!

So is BSG still active? I know Robo went over there, but curious as to whether anyone still actively posts there?
I checked it out the other day, it was pretty dead. Nowhere near the number of recent posts enough to be interesting.

Checked out some of thsse old forums , wow ghost town central . Even tried making an account on one and said awaiting approval . Still waiting 2 days later . Which means they gave up on newer members . Weird how outdated they look , old forum setups and software . Hard to believe people were debating grips and tees in one of the forums ? That shows a place is really dead

In Canada we have 32 million people which is about 10% of the population of the USA. The Toronto Golf Nutz (I wish it was Forum) have some experienced people there too. We also have a couple(mpare) of Americans who have traveled north and work in Canada either on contract or temporarily. They have lots of experience and knowledge to contribute to discussions. Lucky to have them.

I enjoy golfclubatlas but am not a member so I can only look not comment. I really like their photo tours of golf courses. It is strictly a golf arcitecture website and if you say you like Tom Fazio you will be lambasted. It does get a little bit tiring on how over there you're only allowed to like the ODG (old dead guys) but they are very knowledgable and have some great members that contribute regularly like Tom Doak as an example.

This is the only site I really visit. If I do happen to go to another site, I will go to BSG. I do still post there sometimes but mainly just go there to research Veylix.
