Have the 13.5* and 18* with Blueboards. Best heads I've ever seen or hit. Look fantastic, and inspire so much confidence. They feel and sound great.

I would concur with the post above. The head sets as good as any and the ball flight is high, yet piercing, and goes forever. Easily, one of the longest on the market.

I've had loads of success with the 74 stiff. I find it an excellent shaft and am a user of Whiteboards, Ahina's and the like in my driver.

Is it a real Fubuki or a made-for?

Made for. If I remember right, it has a slightly softer tip with a higher ball flight and higher spin characteristic. They also tend to play a bit softer than listed in my experience.

Actually this isn't correct. The tip on the "made for" Fubuki was actually made stiffer than the aftermarket to lower spin as Mizuno felt the aftermarket Fubuki spun too much in these heads.

Here is a quote from a review of the driver on this site:

"The stock shaft might have been the most impressive aspect of this club. It is a 64gram “Made for Mizuno” Fubuki. Now, 99% of the made for shafts in drivers are watered down versions of the original, but this one is actually a beefed up version of the 63gram Fubuki Tour. I’ve hit the original Fubuki Tour in the 63 and 73 grams shafts and the “Made for Mizuno” Fubuki I actually liked better. Mizuno had Mitsubishi beef up the tip section a little bit, thus lowering the launch, torque and tightening up the feel. I was honestly blown away with how good this shaft felt and performed. It maintained Fubuki’s low spin, and amazing carry distance, but dropped launch angle a little and firmed up the feel."

I have a 5 wood with a Blue Board, but I don't like it at all. I made the mistake of demoing the stock fubuki and loving it and then buying it with a BB.......should have just stuck with the stock setup.

I play one of the older mizuno 3 woods, is this club that much better? Was thinking about upgrading but it is my favorite club in my bag

Obviously everyone has differing opinions, but I love these. A couple of my buddies love hitting them too. I haven't had much else. Some Alphas and Titleists, and I don't think they come close. These look so good at setup, have a shallow face, and sound and feel is money.

Don't forget to mention how long these things are. With the right shaft, it outmatched a demo TEE CB4 Tour. They are THAT long!

I don't know, honestly. The raised section at the back is a part of the head itself, but I can't tell if the red part is actually an inlay within it or not. I know you had another thread looking at fairway woods, and that you don't want glued badges (which these still might not be), but I would take a really good look at these heads. The section in question is really small in relation to the head. I have had these for a while, and didn't even notice what you mentioned until you brought it up in the other thread.

One of the best things about these heads is that the sound is very much like a persimmon, while the distance is amazing. Great off the deck or tee. Ballflight isn't out of control, and they are fairly easy to hit. Don't let that one thing keep you from trying these (it may not be an issue at all). They are, literally, the perfect fairway metal.

I've had a couple and tried several shafts but the stock Fubuki actually performed the best. Great club.

Edit: Just saw the shaft in your sig. One of the best "made for" shafts ever. Much better than the original Fubuki Tour IMO. Nice pull!
