Very, very good shafts!! If the Whiteboard wasn't perfect for me I would definitely have PX 7b3 in my driver!

Great shaft! Tested alot of diffrent shafts for my new Titleist 910 D3, and the Project X 7C3 6.0 was superb! Both in length and accuracy! Not even the R11 hade a chance against this setup! I'm not a superfan of the blue color though, i rather have a Aldila RIP type of color/style. But hey, shaftstyles doesn't give you birdie opportunities!

8A4 and 8AA4 in the driver are the dog's balls.

But the standout is the hybrid shaft. HA1 finally converted me from steel shafts in the hybrids.

Has anyone taken a Matrix (any model) out of the bag for a project x? Just curious as I'm thinking about making the switch...
The PX 7A3 is a great option if you like the F7M2 in X. Not quite as smooth, but lower spin and very tight dispersion.

And what if you like the 8M2 in a 3-wood and are looking for a PX in your driver? Would you go 7A3 or 8A4? The PX website suggests the tip stiffness on the 8A4 is "extra stiff" vs. just "stiff" on the 7A3.

I'd try 8A4. 8M2 in the FW plays like a lighter 10A2. But if you like the feel of the 8M2, you'll probably want the x-stiff tip of the 8A4 in the driver.

They make the 7A5 with an X-stiff tip, but they are virtually impossible to get.

Looking at the 8A4 for my 910 D3....hopefully will mesh well with my 7C3 910F. Anyone tried the 8A4? The fitter will have it easy I suppose, when I say to him, "fit me for the proper PX shaft".

Thanks, Stage... would you say the 8A4 or a Whiteboard X would impart less spin?

8A4 spun less for me than a Whiteboard 83-X, same head. Though I think the 8A4 might have a slightly higher launch.

The big difference for me was the Whiteboard would occasionally go left when I stepped into one. The 8A4 is almost as straight as a ProtoPYPE.

Anyone have thoughts on feel characteristics.....given the 7B3 in my 910F......and the probability of a 8A4 I will be putting in my 910D3. Is it best to stick with the 7B3 for a new driver since I already have one in my 3 wood. I'd like to have similar playing characteristics between the two.

EDIT: Let me rephrase this in Lehman's terms...........is it good to have a "stiff" tip'd 3 wood.......but then have an "X-Stiff" tip'd driver? Will they compliment each other?

I find the stiff tip just goes a little more left than the X-stiff tip.

My bigger concern is that you have a softer and lighter shaft in your FW than your driver. If you want to play 8A4 in the driver, I'd recommend 10A2 tipped in the FW or even 8A4 tipped.

Does anyone know how this shaft would play in a Titleist D2 head? I have a Miyazaki in it now (approx 100-102 MPH swing speed) and am looking for something with slighly lower spin? A 5.0 possibly?
Have mine in a D3. SS is only a little faster than yours and I have a 7c3. In a D2, I suspect it would be mid or mid/low launch and spin, all other things being equal.

Currently testing the 7C3 for my 9.5* D3, already tried a number of shafts including the Rip60 and my current Ahina 72 stiff and so far the results are awesome. Just wish I went for it originally instead of the ahina. I play a 44" shaft and the demo i have is standard length, anyone play the 7C3 at 44 or 44.5? Is there any big differences-swing weight aside??

I have an 8A4 in a Nike VR that I just picked up. Man that shaft and head combo is wicked. Smooth feeling shaft with a nice trajectory. I wasn't sure I would like the heavier shaft in a driver, but man I am a believer now. I may be looking to pick up more of these shafts to replace the crap stock offerings in my hybrid and 3 wood.

Just put the 7c3 in my d2 head. Haven't hit it yet, but I plan on having a good range session tomorrow with it. Im hoping it performs as well as the R11 w/ retail PX 6.0 i have, but with more accuracy. If all goes well, it will be in the bag for a 36 hole stroke play tourney this weekend!

Can anyone explain to me the difference between the 8c4 profile and the 8a4 profile? I am playing the 8c4 6.0 in my FW right now and I'm looking to replace it with something stiffer. I have the opportunity to buy a 7.0 8a4 but I'm clueless to the difference between the two.
Basically the 8C4 is stiff and the 8A4 is x-stiff. The 8A4 also has a stiffer tip profile. The 8B4 is in between, like say a "strong" flex via the Matrix flexes.

I'm thinking about getting this shaft in a TM SLDR 3 HL. I'm looking at going with the 8B4. I've never played PX shafts in my driver or 3 wood but I've always loved their iron shafts and currently play PX 6.0.

Anyone play this combo or have any feedback on how this shaft plays with a low spin high launch head?
