^haha, snake there is to protect the soft cherry wood from being dented by putted golf balls that don't find their intended target, and make a loud noise on impact for parental units to hear and get mad about.

We get team bags, balls, FJ rainsuits, putter cover(nice ones) hats, and even shoes if we want..we have a pretty good program in our school for all sports. Our town is obsessed with being the best in everything we do.

We have a great coach that played in college and is a very good amateur player. We're all pretty good, and he can whip all of us. His big thing is that when we finally beat him straight up, he takes us out to eat anywhere we want to go. He puts us through a hard strength and conditioning routine, and really structures our practices and summer tournament schedules. And, he's a great guy.

 

We get new Ping Hoofers each year. Seniors that have been in the program for 4 years get their names on theirs and get to keep them. They are the best looking bags I've seen. Many schools compliment us on how we look.

 

We get 4 shirts, a windshirt, and a rainsuit each year. We also get Titleist balls, and travel all over the Southeast. It's a great program and we have a lot of fun.

 

 

About high school tournaments - many of the tournaments in our state have become so prestigous with great fields that many college coaches are either coming to the tournaments or really looking at the results. For instance, one tournament we play in in Vidalia, Georiga has over 370 players from all over the southeast. Many of the best players in the Southeast play in this tournament - if you win it, you've done something.

Our team has Ping Voyage Team Bag they are great and super nice. We got Purple Nike Dri Fit shirts last year for free and hats.. and our bag doesnt cost us anything but we have to give back.. This year we are getting White/Gold Adidas Climacool shirts free.. As indivudials we are all buying black shorts with white belts. And 4/6 people that go to matches have 360's and we are provided black titleist hats.

Last season, we had titleist bags that were black with gray writing. Our school colors are navy and orange...go figure. This year my dad ordered all white Hoofer Vantages with orange piping with our schools name in blue and a panther paw on the ball pocket. My dad then donated the bags to the school as a gift but the players do not get to keep them, except for me. We also got a team underarmour shirt for free but had to pay for a wind breaker. If you want to look good, you gotta organize it yourself.

We get blue and gold Hoofer 3's that we have to return at the end of the year. Also our school has a contract with Nike or something so we get really terrible looking blue and gold DryFit shirts that also have to be returned. Then we get one sleeve of NXT Tour's with our school name printed on it.

oh my god you should have seen ours, they were 10 year old pings, and were pencil bags, 2 or 3 pockets.

We only get to keep the hats though which is wierd because we get new shirts every year and my coach just stuffs the old ones in his closet.
