I know that the project x shafts in his irons are 7.1 or 7.3. Crazy stiff, talk about no dispersion.

Thats funny because he was in a recent golf digest "whats in the bag" saying he played dg s300 in his irons. I wonder why the big jump in flex?

Yes, Project X, 7.0 currently in TaylorMade rac MB TP's.

However, when Sergio Garcia used DG shafts in his irons, THEY WERE IN FACT S300. :help:

No, there is no Tour S300. Sergio used DG S300 shafts. Dynamic Gold Tour is its own flex above X100, 200, 300, and 400.

I have no idea, but it seems like he chokes down on most of his iron shots, so I doubt they are short. I'd be willing to bet they are std. lenght.
[/quote]1/2 inch short at 2 degrees flat. Not upright and not longer.....was stated in a WITB before on here

This is where there is confusion between the weight of a club and "Swingweight". A heavier club does not always mean a heavier swingweight. They really have nothing to do with each other. He does not like lightweight clubs. He just prefers to counterweight his clubs which happens to produce a lighter swingweight. I guarantee his clubs weigh more than 90% of anyone in here has ever swung. Swing weight is just a measurement of the balance point between the head and the butt of the shaft. It has absolutely nothing to do with the overall weight of a club. I could put together a club with a 50 gram shaft, 30 gram grip and it would be D8, or a club with a 130 gram shaft, 65 gram grip, a 60 gram counter weight and it will be C5. Which club is heavier?

And trust me, when you counterweight, nothing feels "light". It's very hard to tell that the weight is just in the butt. it feels like it's all the way through the shaft.

    • Sony Open Pics from January 11, 2022 Part 1
I was able to get out to the Sony Open today to take a few pics.  I guess due to Covid precautions they kept the spectators pretty far from the players.  Also due to camera restrictions they've put in place, I wasn't able to bring the big lens like I normally do. Hopefully they'll ease up on the ropes and I'll be able to get more pics tomorrow!
