What part of Chi-town are you in? My wife lived there until she was 9 and most of her extended family still lives there. Grandparents are in Elmhurst and are members at River Forest CC, which is a really fun course if you ever get the chance. One of her uncle is a urologist in Wheaton and is a member at Glen Oak CC, which looks like a REAL nice club. When we were up there last about 5 years ago, he was a probationary member without guest priveliges (we did help him meet his yearly food minimum, though :D ), so I have not been lucky enough to play it yet - but we're going up there in Nov. and I'll begin planting that seed soon....

I live in Woodridge, which is just east of Naperville in the Western Suburbs. Wheaton is about 10-15 mins north of me. Obviously the gem of Wheaton is Chicago Golf Club, but Glen Oak is a very nice course from what I have seen in photos. I've heard of River Forest (anything in Elmhurst has to be pretty good), but I'm typically teeing it up at the local muni. There's a lot of good golf here...November might be in the 70s or it might be 20, you never know here.

Aside from longing to test Blackhorse and Cypresswood again, I haven't gotten the chance to play the SHO course at Redstone so I'd like to do that and Keith keeps telling me about Fish Creek so if possible, I'd test that out as well. So many good courses in the Houston Area and so little time...ho hum.

I played Redstone Tournament Course (SHO) this Sunday for the first time, it's not too bad a course! I am sure it could be a lot tougher seeing where they could grow up the rough and put some of those pin positions. Played pretty well with an entire new bag from driver to putter! Hope this honeymoon doesn't end too soon! See you guys at the next outing!

There may be a few votes to watch the little get together in Dallas that day, also. I don't give two $hi+'s about who wins, but it may be a good game. I'd bet Blackhorse sprung for more than one TV, however, so no worries. :beach:

Sam and I were thinking that this is how the groups should be paired:

 

Drew, Sam, Tony, Todd vs. Jeremy, Rick, Keith, Glynn

 

To make it interesting I propose a Lowball and 2nd Lowball bet (5,5,5 bets on each ball) with $1 team birdies. If any of you feel opposed to this grouping or the bet in general, I can make the changes - we don't have to do a team bet, it would be fun in my opinion.

 

We're playing the Blue tees on the North Course, BTW.
