So since mark was kind enough to set this up last time i'd figure since im somewhat of a "rookie" here on wrx i should pay my dues and set this one up.

 

ok so now things are set.

 

 

Date : June 12th

 

Course Wekopa ( Saguaro)

 

now here is the dilema.. I talked to the group organizer and the $45 rate we will only be able to book 7 days in advance. those of you that have a card only have a 4 day window. Now he said that we can book it now for a $60 a person rate and be teeing off aroun 8 oclock in the morning for 12-16 players. So should be book it at 60 a person now or wait and test our luck the week before?

I voted Phoenix, but I would travel to Tucson or Prescott.

the 28th is Memorial Day weekend, that might limit participation (or not?)...

My advice would be - "plan it and they will come." Which means you should set it up in a way that works best for YOU.

Funny thing is i have a calender right in front of my face and didnt realise that. so we ill shoot for the 21st and i will start calling around for pricing to courses.

I'll be in Tennessee from the 13th til the 21st, but the 28th should work for me.

I'm pretty much down for wherever, as long as the price is fair. Prescott would be pretty sweet, and if we did a prescott trip, I'd like to do Sat and Sunday rounds. Maybe The Rim up in payson should go thrown in to the mix as well? That's one I'd REALLY like to play,

Matt (one_putt) set up the first two events, and I know he had a hard time getting good rates in advance. I'm wondering if it would almost be better to confirm a date, and general time, then just book it from golfnow or something? I also think that Grayhawk required some sort of credit card deposit or something. It should be noted that more people tend to show up at outings at a nicer course though.

One other thing to consider is most summer time rates kick in at the end of May and we might get better rates or open up more course options if you bumped it into the first weekend in june. I'm in as long as it is on a sunday

If wanted I can see if I can get a group onto Prescott Lakes if Prescott if you would be interested in that. Much better course than StoneRidge. Please PM and I will see what I can do, mostly likely there should be no problem with it.

Prescott Lakes would be an awesome opportunity. Thats the private Hale Irwin design, correct?

I should be ok if given enough notice in advance. I'm taking Anatomy & Physiology this summer, so once school starts, I probably can't play any golf. Would be nice to get out for a last hurrah. I might have more flexibility if it's something local though, but Prescott does sound like a blast.

Good point here too...I have the Wekopa Pass and rate is $33 with guests...so I could get 3 others at that rate. I bet a few others have the pass too.

I could be totally wrong here, but I would think a 7 day window in June should be a good enough window to get a group out. Might not be at exactly 8 o'clock but I'd be surprised if there was nothing available.

Im thinking the same. I mean i dont care what time we tee off just make sure to drink lots of water and wear a ton of sun screen..

wait and just set a reminder in your phone to log in first thing in the morning or late at night the day it opens up and it wont be an issue. I dont mind paying the 45 bucks but no point in paying 60
