Forecast calls for the high in Sedona to be 103 and partly cloudy, but beats the hell out of the projected 117 for PHX!

you guys have inspired me... me and a buddy are taking the wives up to sedona this weekend. I have a tee time at 7 canyons tomorrow at 11... they punched their greens a month ago so im hoping they are in good shape

103° sounds like paradise vs 117° pack a sweater!

Mark & puttnforthe8 what do you think about meeting at dobson ranch gc parking lot at 6am sat. morn? that should give us plenty of time for a stop on the way if needed and check in/range time before our 9:10 tee time...

possible rain in the afternoon can be expected and forcasted.. 10-20% chance, might throw a umbrella in the bag....

6 am at Dobson sounds good to me, I'd rather be early than pushing it.

I need to talk to Joe, he had mentioned that he might drive up separately and stay the night, making a weekend out of it. So I'll shoot Joe a PM and find out whats up.

Hey Sam, I still have that putter, but I think I've switched 3 putters since then man haha. An Odyssey no9, then went to a belly putter for like 3 weeks, now I've got a rife Aussie that I'm loving, so we'll see how long that lasts haha.

Tucson would be awesome, I'm free all of July except the 20th-25th, headed back to Chicago for a bit of the ol heat, mosquitoes and humidity. We should set it up, I know a few of my buddies have been talking about Dove Mountain for awhile now. Maybe turn it into a Tucson wrx outing?

Sam and Blake, yeah the belly... I dig it, but I think it almost serves better as a training aid than a gamer haha. Putting with the rife, or any standard putter, my stroke feels much better than before the belly. So I'll keep it and use it when things go squirrely.

It was pretty hot out today, I spent 2 hours hitting balls this morning(got a lesson yesterday), then an hour putting, then played a quick 9. I can't wait to play up in Sedona, should be a blast. Hopefully I can match the way I played today, but with the exception of playing with Matt and Sam, I always seem to fall apart when playing with you guys from the wrx haha.

Jay and I are leaving at 6, hopefully we'll be up at OCCC by 8, get a nice stretch and warm up in. Kev, Jay is driving, and so is Joe, so you should be able to hitch a ride.

Had a blast up at OCC and 7 Canyons yesterday with my wrx buds... dehydration was the clear winner. Most interesting thing I learned yesterday was just the sighting of javelina creates panic with Joe... :) I think the titleist 910 experiment might be a short one... Last, we decided to eat dinner in Sedona, we hit the 20 mile traffic jam at New River at about 8:30pm... and got free of it at 11:20pm. made it home around 12:15am. That was one long day.

We didn't stop for dinner, and hit the traffic right away, got home maybe 25 minutes before you did.

Golf was a blast though, and that pack a javelinas was crazy to see!

Javelina sighting was crazy.... sitting in that traffic jam for 3 hours was crazier.... and no exits. Thats the part that people in other states would not comprehend, once your on that stretch of I 17... you have no exits.

Sedona trip was great. Both courses where in good shape, Seven Canyons is just a great course and the layout in the canyon is a sight to see. Javelina crossing our approaching green brought back memories of hunting and eating one and finding out later that those bovine are not pigs at all but members of the rodent family..Yuk!

Kevin, interesting game... BANKER, note to self don't play banker against Kevin
Joe, thanks for posting pics
Mark, thanks for the company, think I would of had an aneurysm sitting in traffic myself
18 wheelers, thanks...I think I need a new kidney

lets do it again and try to get a group to do 36 at Antelope Hills in Prescott.
