dobson is a good public track, parkland style with a lot of large mature trees and some slope/undulation to the greens..good place to try out a new driver, the fairways are very forgiving, one of the better public courses in the state....if you are a long hitter off the tee it will play driver/9i-wedge most of the day, only 6780 from the tips...all the par 5 with maybe the exception of # 9 are reachable in 2...the greens were punched/sanded about 4-5 weeks ago and almost back, played there the week before the sedona outing and they were about 85-90% recovered....

all in all its not a boring course, when the greens are good the movement in the greens are its defense against bomb and gore...try it you will like it been playing there just about every weekend for 20 years.

Playing Legend Trail this weekend with a buddy. Hopefully a bit cooler than today! Played Sunridge Canyon this morning, will never visit that course again. Over 100 degrees and no drinkable water on the course. On the back nine, flags were not in the hole, laying beside the green! Worst experience in the valley ever!

Never played Legend Trails. How much is the rate there? Thats too bad that there was no water at Sunridge. I played a scramble there a few months ago and didnt love the course but it wasnt too bad. I know their "wicked 6" isnt all that wicked ha!

BTW Blake I the biggest trick, was trolling the Ping G20 thread and came across Kevin comment about the G20. Although I'm more than happy with my G15, Kevin did an injustice with those positive comments, as it bad for my addiction.

I might purchase another Driver due to the sickness in me...

Is there really an appreciable difference? I20 good for hooker like us etc?

Is it as forgiving as it's counter part G15/G20?

Actually after thinking about what you said, the I20 would be a good compromise, since we already have a G15.

May not have the connection again to get a 7.5 like the G15.

My buddy bagged the G20 Driver, 3 wood, and two hybrids in his bag this last weekend. He missed one fairway and hit two par 5 greens in two... He was just bombing it with the stock tour 9 series shaft. I hit it on the range after the round, it was a 8.5 so I was only getting it 20 feet off the ground but it was smoking hot. I hit the chase academy at the raven range
