Beauty!! How does that traditional mill compare to the honeycomb if you know? I'm a big betti fan but have yet to use one of the non honeycomb milled putters.

The Fly Mill is not as soft as their fit face. It really depends on the greens you typically play. I would say Fast green they suggest to use a fit face. And then slower greens for their standard honeycomb. Could even do the micro honeycomb which is a little less thick.

 

The standard honeycomb you have better feel if you like feeling the ball more at impact.

 

I just order a custom that has one of their newer mill options, the light fly mill. So what Gio has just very faint. Excited to try it out!

Thanks! After doing paint fill for 10+ years, it's all about preparation. The right tools and chemicals make it go pretty quick.

What did you use to strip? I have used acetone before just curious if it was something else. Thanks.

How hard is it to keep the paint out of the face milling? I’ve got the same putter and want to change all the blue to red.

I used gel paint stripper, most hardware stores should carry.Not hard, I put a little alcohol in the areas I want to fill, then take a needle and put a little drop of paint and it flows in without much overflow. Allow to dry for a few minutes, and give it a quick swip with a paper towel that I put a dab of acetone on. Little patience and practice goes a long way.
