Hi Guys,

A few mates and myself want to travel from South Africa to watch the Open next year!!!

Can anyone tell me the best place(Cheap is good as well, we are poor over here haha) to get tickets, and when they become available?

Any info with regards to this is much appreciated!

As far as I'm aware, the earlier you purchase the tickets the cheaper.

I'd try and book your accommodation as soon as possible to, if required.

Ill do that, our axcomodation is sorted, got folks up in wales and england we are staying at which is a big plus!

Glad you've got your accommodation sorted already, that's normally the tricky bit.

Definitely something to look forward to, If I get the time I intend to attend also.

Will have to wait and see.

You had best check the R&A website , you can buy you tickets online, cheaper to buy a full week ticket I think.

I think I will plan a little trip with pals as it will be more accessible next year, St Georges is miles away, but not as far as South Africa , so cant complain!!

You have cracked it if you have accommodation sorted , as you can even pay for tickets at the door most days, its getting the digs thats tricky.

They should put up campsites like they do for the Grand Prix etc as hotels and B&B charge the earth during Open week.
