I [size="5"]hate[/size] Arizona Grand... any place i can only hit 1 Driver off the tee out of 18 holes from the tips is a big waste of time!

that is all to funny of a review, who payed off that clown.. anyone know someone who plays it...I think not!

it has always been and always will be a course that none will play a second time unless you where drunk out of your mind the first time! To sad that someone cannot turn it into a decent track. I would rather play Ken McFarmall or Fiddlesticks.

It's an.... [i]interesting [/i]layout. There are a few good holes on there, but also a fair few goofy ones. I didn't play there before the renovation... but making the 18th green the 1st tee box definitely seems an interesting decision... looks like it would have been an interesting finishing hole to an island green. Instead of finishing on a par 3...

The Finishing 2 holes ( before the renovation) was worth the price of the green fee. That island green was so fun. But they changed it and now its not even fun anymore

In that case im not going to lie.... I have played her once this year it was after work and I didnt realize what i was doing.. She lured me in with a 15$ round with the promise to go all the way... I'm a sucker for a deal

They change the name of this course every few years (Pointe at S. Mountain, Phantom Horse, Arizona Grande...) to sucker those that may have played it once into coming back. ha ha

Actually, this is the second redo of the 1st/18th hole. In its original configuration, it was the 1st hole playing uphill. 18 was the par 3. I assume that was unpopular for management who wanted a finishing hole near the clubhouse and resort so they redid the hole, reversing the direction down hill and building the island green. Problem was, it made an ABSOLUTELY AWFUL hole*. So it seems they recently put it back the way it was. The green remains as a practice green.

* Awful hole on an already awful golf course - I guess that is relative... lol

Golf course reviews have always cracked me up.

I worked for a course once that was reviewed as a great place to play and "procreate."

Not sure who the beverage cart girl was that day but she must have done an outstanding job.

Haha! I live super close to this track(even closer than ahwatukee) and I had a buddy tell me to not even bother playing it for free, as it will just make you feel like you've wasted your entire day.

Mark we should go out there and leave all our woods in the trunk of the car.. ( well my 1 wood i have lol) probably play one of the better rounds of the year since i wont be OB on any of the holes ha!
