Books for teaching women

I'm the new girls golf coach at the high school I teach at. I'm a 5cap and read a lot about the golf swing and golfing. I was wondering if there are any good books about teaching to women.

I read of a lot of different schools of thoughts for golf swings, but why in your opinion do you think there needs to be one that focuses on women? I also dont think the PGA makes a difference teaching men or women. Certain body types (strength and flex wise) favor certain golf swings (and this is not gender specific at all), shouldnt this be something you should look into? Or are you referring more to the psychological side of teaching women?

More the psychological side of things. Most of the reading I have done says to try and find a good female instructor and take some lessons but there is not one in my area.

Jane Horn has written a couple of golf instruction books geared toward women. They are worth checking out.

I'm beginning a book by Vision54.com co-founders Lynn Marriott and Pia Nillson called "Play Your Best Golf Now" - they have 8 core fundamentals they teach and I believe they touch on the mental side quite a bit as well. It's on Amazon and their website. Not sure if High Schoolers would be interested or not tho

I'm not sure about books that differentiate in male/female at that age. It does seem that the gals tend to be less confident. I'd want to be sure they have the tools to trust what they do on the course.

"Golf Annika's Way" is one of the better books out there focused toward women.

Russel Pennicks Little Red Book.  My mother gifted it to me.  Great for a beginning lady golfer.  He understood that women are their own worst enemy and how to manage it.  Accepting who they are, why they do what they do is first and foremost.  After that, they can learn the game, and enjoy it.  With enjoyment will come wanting to do it more and hopefully better, but the main thing is they find an outlet for themselves that is life long.
