Thanks! The paint is super easy to do....used a paint pen, and some paper towels to remove excess as it was drying.

You can also use a clear coat sealer and then sand off the excess when it dries. Since the numbers sit below the surface, you remove only the excess.

They are money. I am a 5 HDCP and prior I played RAC LT2 irons for about 3 years. Sometimes I am not a huge fan of the wider sole compared to the LT's.....but every now and then I take an LT out to the range and then reality sets in. I also hade these ordered custom with DGS300 shafts instead of the wet noodle Nippon NS Pro. DG are 20-30 grams heaver so I actually had to cut down a 1/4 inch, and have the tip weights taken out so they would play at D3.

How do you like the AP1s?

Cool I hear of a lot of people using the paint pens, unfortunately I don't have any. Although I have done what I think is a pretty good paintfill with my sisters nail polish and a clear coat, I'll have an updated WITB tonight if you wanted to see.

Love the setup. Great job on the paint fill. I've done about 100+ paint fills for myself and others, and that is pretty good. Nice work.

Got the paint pen at Wal-mart......you can get anything there!

I did not hit the AP1's prior to purchasing. I basically looked at the top line and offset, and ordered with my TM LT specs with the shafts I wanted. Not the most scientific way to do it, but I know what I was looking for and what clubs I was coming out of so it was going to be an easy transition. If it looks good to me, I can hit it......blade or SGI irons.

Where did you get the paint pens and also just curious what other irons you tried before buying the AP1s. I ask becuase I am looking for new irons, either AP1s or JPX800s

It was a "Elmers" paint pen.....I think they are like $5 at the most. They have a fine point and they have a wide tip (that's what she said)

Now I didn't seal these yet with the clear coat, so I am not sure how well the paint will stay on when I clean my clubs again.....I will update.

Last year I had them painted lime green and I used "Folk Art" brand acrylic paint, and I used the clear coat sealer and they last a year before I just repainted to the blue. Clubs were cleaned often and the paint never came off. I actually had to work to remove the paint when I made the change to the blue.

I don't work at Wal-mart.....however, at any given time inside a Wal-mart there should be close to 100 associates. Perhaps they could assist.

It was like 1 or 2 aisles over from house paint. Look for glue, beads, glitter, and all that other girlie crap. I have a 5 year old girl, she lives in that section.
