Cleveland HiBore

Featuring a 10% larger hitting area and 57 grams of disressionary weight, the HiBORE Fairway Wood is the most stable fairway wood Cleveland has ever made.

* Larger Face - A 10% larger face area combines easy-to-hit, low profile visual appearance with a larger, more forgiving hitting area

* Face-Centered Performance - By centering optimum performance on the face, off-center hits (both high/low and toe/heel) become more consistent and less penalizing.

* Inverted Crown Design - With the HiBORE Fairway Wood's more efficient gemoetry, the head has a lower overall volume (cc) than a conventinoally shaped head, allowing more discretionary weight to be moved to the rear outer perimeter of the clubhead. This translates to 57 grams of discretionary weight and a higher MOI than any other Cleveland fairway wood. These factors combine to make the HiBORE Fairway Wood the most stable and forgiving fairway wood they have ever made.

* Parabolic Leading Edge - With a leading edge progressively tapering from the face to the sole, the HiBORE Fairway Wood slides easily across the turf at impact instead of digging into the ground, giving it even more forgiveness when hit from the fairway.

* Thin Crown Technology - With this latest in crown technology, Cleveland has been able to take 15% more weight from the crown of the HiBORE Fairway Woods and reposition in areas of greater benefit around the rear perimeter.

* Carpenter Custom 455 Steel Face - The best steel available, this material increases the size of the sweet spot for more distance and forgiveness on off-center hits.

* Robotic Plasma Face-Welding - By using the most technologically advanced process, the weld bead is minimized around the clubface, allowing more discretionary weight to be distributed to the outer perimter of the head.

Loft Offerings:

* RH: 13 ˚, 15 ˚, 19 ˚, and 22 ˚

* LH: 15 ˚, 19

Shaft Offerings

* Standard - Fujikura HiBORE Silver

* Stock Custom - Aldila NV & NVS

* Grafalloy Prolaunch & Blue

* UST Proforce V2

This club will definitely be in my bag by the time the season starts up this year, there is no question about when you hit the sweet spot in this club, you know it's good before you even look up. The low profile crown gives you a ton of confidence about getting the ball up in the air off the turf and it makes the club look a little smaller which I really like. And one thing I love about cleveland.......you get shaft options like mad. Give this club a look.

i got this cuz i needed something from off the turf and i found it. looks really sweet at address and i feel like i can crush it. i went to this heated driving range and hit for and hour with my whole set and played this for about 20 min. NEVER EVER HIT A BETTER 3 ive got the prolaunch in it cuz i wanted to be able to get loft offf the turf but the v2 felt amazing too just not enough loft (for me) sweet club

love the matter finish on top :rolleyes: :cheesy: :) :yahoo: :yahoo: :yahoo:

Here in new jersey it has been COLD since the end of January and I have two fairway woods,hi-bore 15* w/stock fuji and TM r7st 16*stock stiff and the freaking cleveland is a winner and that is after hitting off a mat in 30+ mph winds.Probably will buy a 5wood as well.

Haven't played in over 2 years.
Still dealing with bladder cancer.I'm in the hands of the VA now.

Initially I really liked this 3 wood, but now the honeymoon seems to be over.

i cant really work it much and when i try, the spin the hiBore puts on the ball causes lots of strange results.

it tries to hit the ball straight for you..its wierd.

more of a game improvement type club i guess.

i had older cleveland launchers and could work them better than the hibore

like all the cleveland FW, its looks great at address so its thats something you like you'll be well served by the hibore, just dont try to get too fancy hitting cuts and draws....whoa

I would be interested to read comments about shaft preferences, likes/dislikes, pros and cons from those playing HiBORE Fairway Woods. I was reading a thread titled "HiBORE XL lives up to the reputation"

http://www.golfwrx.com/forums/index.php?sh...90042&st=35

and noticed a post by teeituphigh , and looking at his WITB, I saw this:

Fway: HiBore 15* V2 75 Stiff (rocket ship!)

I would love to hear more from him on it.

I've read a lot of posts about different shaft preferences for HiBORE XL Drivers,

but scant little on the Fairway Woods.

Hey Trad,

Mate, i mean what i say about this fway wood!!! I originally was demoing the same club but with an NV in but thought id give the V2 a go due to the love affair i had with it in my 905R...WELL.....the gamble was well worth it!!!! This is my go to club! I can cut it, draw it, low, high- allllll good. I was reluctant at first to put the club in my bag because i had an OLD 15* steel launcher and that went well- but now. WHOA! This club is the greatest thing since sliced bread and it will only come out of my bag if im allowed to put the ball where i want on the course instead of hitting it....dont see that happening but hey!

Now if only the driver behaved itself...... (little smiley holding cleveland sign goes HERE)

Ok so I guess it is time to give a review after five roudns with this club.

Looks: Slightly different as all Hi-Bore products are, but has a nice profile and doesn't look huge and clunky like some FW do.

Distance: Well, it isn't super long, but for what it doesn't have in distance it makes up for in accuracy. I still hit the Hi-Bore a good ways, but it is the shortest 3 wood I have had.

Playability: Club is super easy to hit from any lie. I was told when I bought it that I would have trouble from the rough and that hasn't been the case yet.

Forgiveness: The most forgiving FW I have ever hit. Mishits still happen, but aren't as deadly with this club. I have played it from many lies and it seems like I find the middle or safety all the time.

Overall: This isn't the longest FW I have used, but it is most certainly the easiest to hit and the most forgiving. I gave it a 4 on the ratings due to lack of distance, but this club will stay in my bag for a while to come.

ok i want to update my review.

This is a pretty awesome club. (i know this sounds nuts given my last review lol)

I guess I just lost a little confidence with it, but after trying a few other newer 3 woods, this is going back in the bag asap.

I have the V2 76 s in mine and off the tee I hit it pretty darn long. Off the deck its good too but I was noticing I was having some troubles with it, but after trying the 906f2 and the Callaway Fusion series, the problem was me and not the hiBore.

Yeah great club and happy to be a Cleveland fairway wood player again

Played the Sonartec NP 99 and the SS2.5. NP 99 was good from tee, SS 2.5 from fairway. Now I´m playing the hibore with

Proforce V2 75 S. Good from tee and deck. Long like the NP99 and more forgiving than the SS 2.5. I like the smaller head-many other FW today look like mini drivers. Tractory are mid-high bombs -good for approaching on long par 5.

This FW wants to go straight, even on mishits, without loosing too much distance. After rangesessions I learned to work with the hibore,

but mostly I prefer straight or little fade. And for this goals the Hibore is perfect for me.

Important for me is also the square face.

Aside from the 588 wedge, I did not play Cleveland clubs. Then I found a steal of a deal on ebay on 06 Launcher steel woods which I bought for my brother. I ended up falling in love with the woods and bought a set for myself. Then after no success with hybrids, I found a closeout deal on the Halo and loved it as well. I now play Hibore hybrids and decided to give a Hibore fairway I try. Same great feel and looks. The longer shaft length took some initial adjustment. The thwack sound at impact is awesome. SOLID is the best word to describe the Hibore.
