I really don't like being negative, but nothing from Clevelands 2012 line impresses me, and don't even get me started on the 588/knock off vokey graphic wedges....the blades, could have been nice until they asked Mr T for paintfill suggestions and went with gold....but anyhow, they better hope this new driver they will be unveiling soon blows people away...because IMO, nothing from Cleveland 2012 does anything for me...to each is own

*and please, don't everyone bash me with "It doesn't matter, you don't see graphic, etc at address" I spend lots of money on lots of different clubs, and do like something that's easy on the eyes;)

A local store here has 5 new 588 wedges on their rack. I have no idea how or why they got them before anyone else. They look AMAZING! Seriously...wait until you see them in person to make judgement. I would have them in my bag right now if the store had a 60... They only have 48,52,56 in the chrome finish. 54, 58 in satin and I'd be playing them.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinion. I dont agree with all that you said but thats ok.
Ill just laugh as Cleveland will sell more Forged 588 wedges in 2012 than any other company in golf. Just watch the market share.

You're right about the 588 wedges, and I will personally be purchasing them, I play them now and will continue to play them (stocked up when they started disappearing)....they will out-sell alll other wedges I'm sure....but come on, u have to agree that the graphics are a spitting image of a vokey....and again, IMO they could have replicated the old 588, add forged somewhere, and sold same amount...to each is own, and I liked Clevelands simplicity of logo design...but not a big deal, again, they will be in my bag, and I'm sure they will be great....

Agree with most of the other comments... clubs look good, but the engravings and logos are just ridiculous. Just Say "Cleveland" on the sole. "588" with the CG logo on the back. And be done.

In what way were your Pings "blown away"? I'm sure the Clevelands felt better, being forged, but I'd be interested to hear more about your test.

To my eye, the Cleveland CB's look a lot like the J33/36 line of Bridgestone irons, which is definitely not a bad thing because those were great clubs.

DOes anyone know if you can custom the irons like the wedges. I'm a Cleveland guy (currently 12/14) and would like to get a combo set. BUt only if I can get rid of those hideous graphics on the back. Plain a simple like the CG Tours or CG 1 Tours would have been much better.

I'm thinking a new set-up from Cleveland/Srixon might be perfect for me.

Was originally considering Titleist or Bridgestone, but since seeing this stuff in person, I'm not sure.

The 588.CB looks AMAZING! Wedges look SICK!

Mashie FW is sooooooo clean...

Supposed to have an adjustable driver out for the show.

OOOOOOOooooooooooohhhhhhh....

I like them, but they look almost exactly the Titleist MB,CB. Nothing against Cleveland, but I would rather play the Titleist...
[/quote]
Same thoughts here, looks very much the same as a Titleist iron...even the wedges are vokey like, which is a good thing I guess

The CB looks nothing like the Titleist CB and it looks much more compact.

The Cleveland's were much more consistent and my bad shots were better. Don't get me wrong I love my i15s, but the Cleveland's were better performing.

Out of all of those the only Titleist I would pick would be the AP-2 over the Cleveland.

i hit the mb's and the cb irons, and the new concept driver,,, All I can say is they are sweet... great soft buttery feel with irons, and the driver has a nice muted sound that I like... and a great look,,, they will be in the bag after pga show in Feb.....these are winners.....and will be at great price points for retail.....

Can clearly tell Japanese Company owns them

Oh yeah? JDM stuff is usually extremely classy and understated. You dont know much about JDM clubs do you?

They like to advertise with excessive stamps too.
