I used to use Zero Restriction, but when its hot and dry, they would just bend when trying to put them in the ground. Went back to wood tees, and got tired of carrying so many in my pocket. So I tried the Epoch. Can put two (1-large, 1-small) in my pocket at the beginning of the round, and put two back in my bag at the end. Best tee ever, and that $6 I spent will last me years!

I'm done with wood tees.

I prefer wooden tees, not painted. I tend to put the tee in my mouth before I hit, and the paint comes off of painted ones. This also causes me to leave/throw away tees a lot so I don't put dirt in my mouth.
I tried Zero Friction tees and hated them. The top was too sharp in my pocket, they would bend going into the ground rendering them useless, and if I used them with an iron they were very difficult to get out of the ground.

I bought a bag of zero friction tees about three years ago and still have some left. I don't use them anymore cause they wont stick in the hard ground and I get tired looking for my dang tee all over the tee box. I went back to old trustworthy free wooden tees :)

All that I get are plain wooden tees, i get a $5 packet of them once a year and they last me for ages, and trust me I play a lot to get a fair bit of use out of them! I always use branded/coloured tees whenever I find them though but I certainly don't buy them. It's just another useless expense in an already expensive game.

I use the Evolve Golf Vireo plastic tees (purchase at Golfsmith). These are plasic 2 3/4" tees and let me tell you they are better than Zero Friction plastic tees. These tees are expensive $6 for 35 tees but they last foreverrr. I dont break them very often, even with irons. I really like these golf tees

+1 on the Epoch. The teaching pro at my club uses them when giving lessons on the range. These things never break so they are all over the range. I picked up 5-6 from the range tee area while warming up for my first round this year, and I still have at least 3 of them in my bag. I know I've used the same one for 20+ rounds now. These things are going to put all the tee manufacturers out of business because a bag of 50 will last you a lifetime.

Started with the Epoch tee but was breaking the head off atleast one every 2 rounds. Then I bought the Zero Friction Tee and have played them for the past couple years. Just this past week I ordered and will will put in play the Champ Zarma tee. Claims a more rigid shaft and that is the only thing with the Zero Friction I have issues with. After a dozen rounds the tee bends or the heads get a little distorted and makes the ball wobble in the wind. I love the Zero Friction tees and will continue to use them forever. Just trying the champ tee but I like the Zero Friction. Any tee I lose before breaking is worth its weight in $$$.

There are so many different brands and different length tees out there. From brush tees, to plastic to wood, is there any brand that you prefer and why? Any tech advantage (no matter how small) perceived or otherwise?

Also, what length tees do you use (for your varioius clubs)?

I use 2 and 3/4" tees for driver and fairway woods off the tee, but usually just pick up a piece of broken tee for the par 3's when I'm using an iron to tee off.

No tech advantage that I see........wood is classic

I prefer white tees so that they don't mark up the club. Every now and then I'll use natural wood tees but white is best for me because I can easily spot them once I've hit my shot.
