Chicago based trackman Found them on Trackman.dk they have a "locator" feature under the "customers" tab. $20-100 an hour is probably what you are looking at if they allow you to just practice on it and not do a fitting. Fittings and data interpretation may cost more, remember these are $25,000 machines.....people aren't going to offer them up for free or very cheap. Hope that helps! :drinks:

I would happily pay $100 an hour to hit balls on trackman.

Miles of Golf in Ann Arbor has a package to use a Trackman:

$20 a month for unlimited trackman use is unreal. I wish that was closer to me. I was thinking of buying a launch monitor and renting it out to golfers for a few hours a week to cover some of my costs. Would never make any money at $20 a month unlimited though... I wonder how I could do renting it for say $25 an hour?

Unbelievable prices! I will bet anyone that prices for use of a TrackMan in the NYC area are not even close to these prices.Does TrackMan the game also show spin rates AA etc or is it just a simulator.

Keep in mind the indoor version vs. the outdoor version of Trackman is significantly different. Indoor tracks briefly then extrapolates the data. The outdoor version ( which also has the ability to work indoors) tracks the entire flight of the ball and is spot on accurate. Realistically you'd be looking at minimum of $50-75$/hr for rental use of the outdoor version. That's what I charge out here on the west coast.

for 35 amonth I would be happy with clubhead speed, ballspeed, and spin but unless they offer some premium package I am not sure why they are disabling stuff. It seems like if you can bring in ~100 bucks/day for your trackman you could have a pretty nice business. I don't know if that is renting it for 10 hours at 10 bucka an hour or at 100 for 1 hour.

There's a range in metro NYC that offers unlimited use for ~$35 a month, minimum two months.

Sounds good right? I signed up to find many of the measurements were disabled. It did not show numbers for face, path, AoA, etc... but just in-out or out-in.

What is your set up out here in the west coast?

Do you own a range, lease space from a range or are you using the Outdoor version Indoors? In fact, better ask if this can even be done....very interested in your set up. Up in Wa. and there is no much up here like this.

I'm down in San Diego....independent operation. I have relationships with several courses down here that I work out of. I also have an indoor studio I use occassionally, but prefer using the unit outdoors. I periodically host Trackman 'event' days where I'll rent out blocks of time on the unit to interested parties. To answer your question, the outdoor version unit also works indoors, while the indoor version does not have the full flight tracking ability outdoors.

I think launch angle, speed, height, distance were shown, but I want path, face and AoA numbers. I was very disappointed. In retrospect, I should have watched the thing in action before I paid.

Lesson learned is before you pay, make sure you're getting the numbers you want. I didn't have much exposure to TM, just worked with couple of instructor owned units which showed ALL the data. Had I known some units could be limited, I would have double checked. Hope this helps someone else out.

Was this up at that golf dome near O'hare?

I know the new PGA Tour Superstore has a bunch of sims, and you can reserve a 30 minute spot in their driving 'cages', which have Trackman or something similar with launch software and computer monitors. Pretty sweet setup. $100 membership for the year, unlimited 30 minute sessions, free labor on club work, and some other sweet stuff. They talked me into it in about two seconds, heading up to the cage this saturday. I'll post how it goes.

Considering how expensive these units are to buy, it must be very hard to make owning one then renting it out a profitable effort. Unless you can also have other things tied to it like selling expensive clubs or full practice range, etc. There used to be a small place right by me that allowed one to rent out time on a unit, called Radar Golf. I sadly never went in but they are since gone (out of business) as they only offered trackman rental and lessons.

Serious question, aren't the newer units like Foresight GC2 at golf stores close enough IF properly calibrated? Has anyone ever taken one of these outside and compared it's results to real shots?

Been trying to get a hold of a used Flightscope X2 for a while for the winter. Good to know that I can potentially go rent a trackman as well.
