Custom Fitting - Where to???

Hi guys,

 

It's time for me to get new clubs so I want to get fitted for them. I've heard/read good things about Swanson Golf Center (are both locations good?) and GolfTEC but I'd like to get (and will definitely appreciate) some feedback from you guys first.

 

Also, if there's any other place you guys have in mind that's local (Houston/ Katy), feel free to mention it.

Ive only been to Swanson and it was ok. I got better results finding demo days and fitting days.
Swanson usually has two demo days a year. One just passed an other will probably be in the spring.

But if you like any of the following brands they have specialized fittings locations:

Titleist - [b]Jim[/b] Phenicie - Royal Oaks Country Club

PING - Hut Smith - Memorial Park Golf Club

PING - Massengale - Augusta Pine Golf Club

Taylormade - RedStone Golf Club

Ive emailed Jim Phenicie on several occasions and always gives timely and lengthy responses.

i got fit from jim when he was a windrose golf course in spring a few ago... he had a great display of clubs with different head shaft combos.. he only does titleist.. i want to go to redstone and get fit at the TM performance lab.. i emailed the guy and got a response within a day... 450 dollars to fit ur whole bag and 150 if u only want to get fit for driver and woods.... he said if i buy the clubs through he i would get a 10 percent discount on it.. so that might offset the cost of the fitting..
