Avery Brewing 2018 Tweak, a bourbon barrel aged coffee stout. At 14.7 percent, it's got a nice kick.

I picked up four regulars, four #4's, and one tea. The #4's have a strong coffee flavor. Pretty tasty stuff. The regular is on the smoky side. I didn't care for the tea version. Not my cup of tea. Lol.

For anyone in AZ...the special releases from Desert Monks are amazing.  Just got the Rum barrel and Bourbon barrel "Dario" and they are outstanding.

 

The Rum barrel is amazing...everything you would expect.  The Bourbon barrel is strong and tasty.

 

I know there are a lot of folks heading to AZ to play some golf...do yourself a favor and visit Desert Monks and hopefully try this beer.

I research for the best breweries everywhere I go, I haven't found any better than Southern Grist or Bearded Iris in Nashville, TN. SG's sours are incredible, and Bearded Iris makes excellent NEIPAs. Both have quality on everything, but that's their strongest styles.

For anyone in Florida, I'm a big fan of this tangerine brut IPA from Big Storm brewing. The fruit offsets the brut just enough to make it a perfect warm weather or golf course beer.

15%?  Wow.  Just wow... I get stupid enough on IPAs...

 

I miss going to their brewery in Wheaton (I think?).  Nice, out of the way place.

Goose Island Suffolk County Stout, an imperial stout (14.3%) brewed with English hops and English malts, and aged in barrels sourced from Suffolk County, England that previously held Adnams Southwold single malt whisky. Not quite the same bold flavor as Bourbon County, but still quite tasty with a nice whiskey aftertaste.

This will now be my go-to IPA.  There are some things with Gluten I will miss.  At least I like this beer.  👍

If you're in the Tampa area, you have to try Florida Cracker by Cigar City brewing my absolute hands down favorite beer. Too bad I cant find it out here in Tx. 

 

Edit: Apparently the brewery Stopped production of this beer. I'm sad ill never get to have another one.

Lol. From the (forgotten) back of the stash, a 2013 Revolution Deth's Tar. Surprised it hasn't gone bad. Very subdued taste.

I'm in Portland. When I moved here in '93 you could only get Widmer Brothers in a keg, now they are owned by Budweiser and are sold at county fairs.

 

I have a last bottle of this I will drink eventually. It was released around my birthday 10 years ago, Columbia closed a few years ago and I grabbed this 

 

<edit> this and the Stumbler Stout were not only my favorites, but my son named them both when he was head chef.

Gumballhead from Three Floyds brewery in Munster, Indiana (my fav, so far).  Was also a dynamite gastropub before Covid.  Not sure if they'll ever bring the food back but the beer's good.

 

An American wheat ale brewed with white wheat and dry hopped with hand-selected hops from the Yakima Valley. Bright and refreshing with a lemony finish. Style: Wheat Beer. IBU 35 ABV 5.6%

A very tasty Founders KBS Maple Mackinac Fudge imperial stout at Paddle Hard Brewing in Grayling, MI. Northern Michigan golf and good beer are a heck of a combination.
