First off Steve, thank you very much for taking the time to answer our questions.

I would like your opinion as to where you feel the most dramatic improvements have come from during your career- the metal/composite woods, the Pro V1 era and later balls, or the finite optimization that is now available? Which of these has benefited your game the most? And finally, which ones made the game more "fun" for you?

Thanks,
Nick

Sincere thanks for answering questions for us Steve, and nothing but success to you in the coming season.

I was wondering if you might share the best piece of advice regarding golf that you ever received and who gave it to you?

Thanks again and in advance,

Hi Steve! I really liked watching your Playing Lessons with the Pros episode. Being a professional educator, I was really impressed with your teaching style. It is something that stood out to me ever since I first saw it. Is teaching something you ever considered pursuing before golf?

Hi Steve,
How do you guys on tour calculate your average carry distance with your clubs? I have just got a bushnell and was wondering how to go about doing this. The problem is I live in Scotland and we don't really get the constant weather conditions that you lucky guys get following the sun on tour. I play off scratch and living over here we get pretty good at clubbing in the wind and in cold temperatures but it's all done by eye and experience. I'd like to know how to go about getting a benchmark distance with my clubs so I can really use this laser, hope you can help.
I wish everybody a very happy 2012 "all the best"

Steve,

I want to offer my sincere thanks for coming here and answering some of our questions.

My question pertains to tournament golf; I want to know how I can maximize my hot streaks when I'm playing well in a tournament, as well as how to mentally "allow" myself to "believe" I can continue making birdies. Specifically, in USGA qualifiers, I tend to not maximize my good days, and I think a lot of it has to do with being uncomfortable going low.

I want to know how you deal with the fact that a tournament round means more than a regular round. How do you get comfortable? I'm sure a lot of it comes with experience, but what else is there?

Again, thank you for any advice you can give me on how to better "turn it on" for tournament play.

Sincerely,

Marcus Deckert

Out of all of the experiances on tour, what was the hardest adjustment you had to make to play consistent golf?

Thanks for this Q & A session!

Steve,

Enough about golf, lets talk Wildcat basketball, being from Burlington Kentucky die hard cats fan and I used to work at your home course at Triple Crown. How far do you see the CATS going this year in the tournament? Do you think they are mature enough and deep enough to make another run at the National Title? Good luck in 2012 and go CATS.

Hi Steve

Fellow Lefty here aswell, was rooting for you during the 2008 Masters. Was hoping for a 3rd southpaw win there!

Anyway, you had a couple of good finishes there and then a high finish at Oakland Hills too. Is there something about insane greens that appeals to you?

Steve, thanks for being here for us gear heads.

What makes the biggest influence for equipment endorsement deals on Tour. The reps and techs you work with, the technology, the looks and comfort with a brand, the money?? Or something else completely?

Steve,

Thank you for taking the time to speak with us and supporting GolfWRX!

What would be the toughest obstacle for a lefty when looking for new clubs (besides the lack of variety)? Has there been a club you were anxiously awaiting that ended up only being righty? Everyone has had that one club that performed every time and better than anticipated, aka the "holy grail". What has been your "holy grail" club?

Thank you so much for your time!

Steve,

Who is the longest tour player you have played with relative to his era? In other words, not just absolute distance (obviously now guys are longer than before) but in comparison to the other guys around him. I just remember when Tiger first got on tour, seeing him at Colonial and it seemed like he was a lot longer than everyone around him.

Steve-

First of all thanks for taking the time to answer a few questions from the WRXers...

If memory serves me correctly, you had a PowerBilt bag at the US Open in '96 at Oakland Hills....

You once said on the Golf Channel it took Titleist 18 tries for them to get 2 Drivers you liked....

When you made a major equipment switch (golf ball), you won twice....

Since you've been with Cleveland /Srixon, what's the oldest club still in your bag?

Thanks again.

(and it's not how, it's how many...;>D)
