Couple of spots open
What do you guys say? Maybe something on somewhat of a budget, I can't afford troon or anything like that at the moment, but we should try to set up a couple groups in the next month or so.

Wekopa was one I was thinking and it should be walkable for those of us who choose to do so. Once the ball gets rolling and pm's are sent out we can decide on a course.

Unless anyone wants to take the lead on this and organize something of a larger scale, I think the best way to do it is just do 2 groups and one person from each group make a tee time

Tom that'd be fine with me. All are really affordable too, especially if you have the PHX card.

Haven't played encanto in a few years, never played cave creek, and I love Maryvale.

Im in too if Im available... out of town quite a bit until Jan22.
I'll watch this thread or include me if something gets planned.

A muni is fine by me! Aguilla should be in good shape hosting a qualifier for the "Phx Open."
Played Vistal a couple weeks ago- it was nice, but dormant fairways....only about $45.

Talk soon!-

Never played Encanto or Cave Creek. Love Papago and Aguila, maybe toss Vistal into the running too? Maryvale is great to walk but always seems so plane when I play it. I don't think there is a single hole on that course that requires a driver. If I could get my father to sponsor us (I'm 26 so I no longer have military dependent card) maybe I could arrange us to play Falcon Dunes. It is WAY out west near Luke Air Force Base and is considered private but still not too expensive. It's my home course and past employer. I'll get back about what green fees are as soon as I find out.

Falcon Dunes, if I can arrange, would be $39.00 for greens fees and $13.50 for cart fee. rough is dormant, everything else is re-seeded. Greens aren't amazing but in decent shape and probably the best deal in town.

I'd play falcon dunes.

I'm fond of Maryvale as I grew up playing there but it's true, you really don't have to hit driver, especially on the front side.

Papago is in awesome shape and at 29 to walk with the phx card, it's a steal. It just gets pricey if you don't have the card.

Love aguila too, as well as vistal.

It's threads like this one, this time of year that make me wonder why I moved home to Alaska. I really enjoyed the two events I played with you guys. But my folks aren't getting any younger and after six years Phoenix was just too much for me to handle. So much to do up here compared to AZ. All I had down there was golf, and it's really only affordable half the year anyway. If you're thinking about doing it sometime in the next two weeks, hit me up and let me know where. I'll be in town and would love to try and get a round in with you guys.

I'd Be in for the munis... I would even walk ( I know Mark SHOCKING) it would finally give me an excuse to get the phx card. Aguila is by far the best maintained muni course. I havent played Papago in a long time. Maryvale is one of my favorite courses. I also played high school golf at that course everyday. Cave Creek is pretty decent. My preference would be..

1 Aguila

2 Papago

3Maryvale

4CaveCreek

How about shooting for either this Saturday the 14th or sunday the 15th... is that too soon for anyone?

This weekend would be too soon for me, in laws will be in town and itd probably be hard to get a tee time for all of us together. I think the city card holders get 9 days advance tee times, maybe more. Down for aguila or Papago?

Haha got a bit of a full plate but it should be easy. We'll set a date and course and go from there, most likely on a Sunday so matt can play. I'll hit up Kevin and jay

Let's do next Sunday at aguila, it's the more affordable option for everyone. I'll text matt or matt if you see this just confirm in here.

Jay and I will make 2 tee times

Jay and I have each made a tee time, one at 904 and one at 912 at aguila on Sunday January 22nd.

I'll send out PM's to confirm, but Im assuming its going to be:

1. Me
2. Jayzona
3. Blake
4. Tom(tjy)
5. Kevin (kvnhlstd)
6. Jdotconner
7. Sigh
8. ????

VInceRKG is interested via Kevin, so please confirm if you can/can't make it asap.

If we can get 12 people, then we can make a 3rd tee time, but someone with a city card will have to make it to take advantage of the 9 day reservation policy.

Also, holds have been put on our credit cards for the tee times, and they have a 24 hour cancellation policy. So to be on the safe side, if you can't make it then please let us know by that Friday, the 20th, or we'll have to knee cap you haha.

Ok cool, we'll do it again so hopefully you can make the next one.

Btw, it's 29 to walk 41 to ride with the card.

43 to walk 57 to ride without
