Ladies, Gentleman, and Tony,

I need to decide whose Club Staff to get on. I am open to just about anyone and would like to get ideas from you guys. I know you guys have some ideas on this since this is what most of you dream about.

I vote Callaway. Their options allow your game to slip a little bit lower, and through the use of notch-weighting, 360* channels, and super-duper forgiveness, you won't be as likely to lose your job due to incompetance. And they do have some player clubs too, just in case you don't plan on letting things fall apart.

 

If you plan to keep your skillz sharp, Titleist would be my next choice, as long as you can get along with their woods. Them and Ping are some of the most limited as far as wood choice goes, but if you like the woods, you're good to go.

I would go with titleist, then callaway, then TM.

 

Titleist: PROV1 Scotty Cameron Bob Vokey. great clubs,great feel/workability, like beruo said you have to get along with their woods

 

 

Callaway: easy to hit and they have some playa clubs to(x forgings) I love thier fairway woods(x-tour)

 

 

Taylormade: you will never run out of new clubs, you get the movable weight and I have heard good things about their balls

Sam....I think you should go with Merit....my first set of clubs from Sam's Wholesale.

 

But seriously, I know you don't like Titleist cause they fit you poorly....Callaway & TaylorMade seem to be the most "complete" right now...so either one would be my pick.

I'd say Callaway. They're increasingly technologically innovative and seem to be on the upswing.

 

 

I like Adams, as well. Blowing up on the Nationwide and Champions tours. They have finally taken their turn at player's clubs. My only concern with Adams is business management, which has been questionable in the past.

 

Taylor Made is the new big gorilla and their products are always in the top 3. But French...parlez-vous Français? Plus, they'll make you pronounce "A-dee-dus" as "A-dee-daa", and a "Big Mac" is called A "Royale" over there....

 

Titleist is where most Texas playing pros have been hanging their hat. Behind the curve in innovation, their tour clubs are still the most sought after. You might just get yourself a one-of-a-kind Scotty Cameron with your initials on the toe. (Go down to Wildcat sometime and see Brian Smith's Camerons...all one-of-a-kinds).

 

Callaway seems to be gaining on the field, with Adams a close second.

I am thinking Callaway as well. The FT-5 could be a winner, the X-Tours already are, and at one time you thought that Mac Daddy wedges were the best thing since Kriss Kross (D-A-Double D-Y M-A-C .... yeah you know me).

If it were me, I'd go Titleist. Top of the heap as far as putters, wedges, and balls go. Cobra woods would be included if the Titleists didn't fit you well, I'd imagine.

 

My brother just signed with Callaway and he told me the FT-I is incredible in how forgiving it is, but he'll probably have the FT-5 in the bag along with the new X-Tours. Little bast@rd got to hit some .R. hand stamped X Tour wedges and he also has a couple sleeves of a new prototype ball coming out. I've already asked him for some if he can swing it and am taking offers..... :drinks:
