Well by all the buzzz about the new Mizuno MP-59 irons we tried to cover them with maximum effort. Here we go with Pics and this great interview.

Nice interview.........MP-59 is simply stunning.............both in looks and performance. Luke is using them too..........The best iron offering in today's market IMO

Love my MP-59's from the first swing. I just put C-taper S+ in mine and I have finally found a setup that looks, performs, and feels what I have been looking for. I may actually have to take a break from hoe'ing.

Keep 'em, the 53's are amazing as well !

I prefer the 53's over the 59's after my extensive research at the demo day yesterday.

Yeah bro keep the 53's........ Had the 59 and they are great even though I had the wrong shaft...... But the 53 are more forgiving have the same sole grind .... Little extra forgiveness is nice, I am enjoying mine especially since ingot the right shaft

Just traded in my TM MC and what a difference going from TM back to mizuno!!! No comparison!

keep playing them unless you cant help it then order the 59's, sorry. your fine in the 53's imho. i doubt they would feel or perform any better.

Thanks for the input guys. I think I am gonna stick with them I love their feel and added help on the long irons.

Good call keeping the 53's. The 59's are gorgeous and of course they are a newer model. I've demoed them both extensively and the 53's are significantly more forgiving without giving anything up.
IMO the 59's are closer to the 69's in terms of forgiveness than they are to the 53's.

Again, the 59's are beautiful but I wouldn't be surprised if you see quite a few sets in the BST after a couple months of spring golf....

I just finished the MP59 customization ordering process. Here's a snapshot of the shaft options available. Fairly wide choice, but somewhat conservative. In other words, they wait and see if there is sustained demand for a shaft before making it an offering.

 

ie: KBS Tour's are on the list; the C-Tapers aren't yet.

For a company that prides themselves on customizing sets for their consumers, they need to step up their game. I would love to order some 59's from the factory with some Modus3's.

I think you have a good bit of guys that look at two brands: Mizuno and Titleist. Not having all the shaft selections is enough reason for a fitter to recommend Titleist over Mizuno, or for a consumer to to choose Titleist on their own.

After hitting the 59s and 69s recently I really liked the feel of the 69s better. The 59s did have a bit of a click to them, whereas the 69 was pure butter. Problem is, it would probably be much better for my game to bag the 59s than the 69s, or at least do a combo. Both great looking clubs.

Under the hood. This titanium piece is epoxied into the forged Mizuno head. If you enlarge the below shots you will see the clear milky epoxy border around the insert....fwiw.

(edit: insert could be hammered/forged into place and then finished with a milky sealer - really no idea here)

So what your saying is? That the titanium is not forged into the head as advertised, but rather epoxied in.

Had to choose between the 59 and Titleist CB, went with the CB for the main reason that I trusted the local Titleist fitter more, but it was a tough a choice. Anyone that buys the 59 will be a happy person

As far as I know, the titanium piece is the hunk of metal in the center of the club, not the badge. That's just for show as titanium isn't very shiny!

As far as I know, the titanium piece is the hunk of metal in the center of the club, not the badge. That's just for show as titanium isn't very shiny!
