I Usually don't post about my rounds, but today something clicked. Had a lesson, then went and shot a 3 under 33.
6/7 fairways (New driver in the bag as well)
7/9 greens
14 putts
Could have shot a 31, I missed 2 birdie putts inside 10 feet.

Yes, it is Gold Mountain! I think everyone in the area was worried it would collapse, but its been going fine for the first two months, and it is too highly ranked of a course to fall apart. Pro shop got repainted, it is now fully stocked, food prices have gone up a bit, rates are about the same, same employees. Overall it hasn't really changed much unless you are an employee, as there are less perks now in terms of golf.

Forgot to mention I am playing in quite a few tournaments this year, including IJGT, Junior World, and US Junior Am qualifiers, possibly AJGA.

Good to hear that Gold Mt. is still doing well....I've probably played 100+ rounds on that course, awesome track. We had all of our high school district tourneys at the olympic course back in the day. I really hate #17

Just looked it up, wow that's sweet. Can't believe I missed that! Oh well, I think my new big is better. It ships out tommorow from another WRX member. I'm going to match it with some bettinardi stuff.

Also got a little extra spending money, might put it towards a del mar so I can have a little #9 style collection with odyssey/scotty/ and betti!

How do you play the shot from on the water? Low hook?

Ended up shooting 152 combined for two rounds... Winner was at 149... I'm really upset because I was pretty much tied for the lead going into the final nine and exploded with 20 putts on the back side alone. Missed 4 footers hole after hole. Ended up shooting a 41 and a 37 would have won the tourney for me... Also disappointed because its my birthday and would have een really special.

Not disappointed though because if my bad round still put me close to the top of the leader board in the off season.. That means really good things for when my game is together for the on season AND there is a shiny bettinardi tour stock bb34 at home that is dying to get some play.

Thanks for the comments guys, as for the par 4 at my house it is a low hook 58 plays about 85 yards... Can anybody say "bubba Watson"?
