[/quote]I'm thinking Business. My uncle teaches business ethics at the UW and despite not being able to take his class due to a conflict of interests, I would still like to pursue business. Or possibly a Civil engineer. I don't know really.

Very cool. You are a fortunate kid. Be thankful for what your parents have provided you and always remember that 99.999% of kids do not have the opportunities you have. I would say I am jealous, but i would not trade in my memories of hanging out at the municipal course in my hometown cleaning tee boxes and filling divots for a free round. Let me know if you having any questions regarding civil engineering. What they don't tell you is that there are 8 capstones you need to consider specializing in. The plan is to graduate this semester haha.

If you had asked me where I was going to college yesterday I would have said University of Washington. However, today I received a generous athletic scholarship offer from Western Washington University, a top 20 DII golf program. I am shocked and thrilled and am reconsidering my plans for next year.

That is great news! There's nothing like having THOSE types of decisions to make ;-). Hopefully you will meticulously evaluate your options before making the best choice (for you)... Best of wishes with your selection...

After much consideration, I accepted my admission into the University of Washington, and declined my offer to Western Washington University. What this means is that I will likely be sacrificing the opportunity to play college golf, which I had dreamt about since age 11. At first, calling up the Western coach to tell him I was going to UW felt like I was throwing my entire junior golf career away. So why did I do it? I'm still not 100% sure to be honest. Western has a beautiful campus, and the golf team has the greatest group of guys I could ask for. I played junior golf with half off the guys on the team. At UW however, I feel like I will get a better education, and I have always put this before golf. Additionally, it is closer to home, and I will be a third generation Husky. I will try out for the team, and to earn a spot I will need to shoot ~296 over 4 rounds at Washington National from the tips, which is possible if I am playing good golf. If not, then I will sacrifice playing golf in college; however, if I miss it too much after a year at UW then I may transfer somewhere small to play.

Edit: Also I got a Salty grip with "TheMackDaddy" on it. It's money.

Shamelessly bumping my own WITB topic. I have about $410 to spend from money I accumulated playing in junior tour events that I can now access since I am in college. Looking into either a new 3 wood, gap wedge, or even driver.

 

My Dad and I booked a trip to Nova Scotia to play Cabot Links/Cabot Cliffs as they are both close to where he grew up. If you haven't seen these courses, do yourself a favor and check it out https://www.cabotlinks.com ... Hopefully my game will be in good shape by then.
