With all the talk of different ship dates I thought I would start a thread where we can post when they start showing up. Maybe include where you pre-ordered from. And where you live. I'm getting the shakes when I see a UPS truck on my street.

I ordered mine from discount dans, does anyone know when they are supposed to ship

I ordered with DD as well, for the first time. Do they send a notification when it ships? Also, will it ship from Ping directly to my house?

They don't send the tracking number and ping will ship to your shipping address. You can call ping or dd to get the tracking number. I usually call ping...

I have had 3 orders in the last month and never received one. Was your last order a special order from Ping?

With the amount of orders DD's must've gotten, I don't know if they will have time to provide every single individual with their tracking number. I'd say go to Ping and bother them, Discount Dan's must be sick and tired of the same questions!

Every Single Ping Dealer In The U.S. Sells Pings For The Exact Same Price...... What's The Point Of Using DD Or Any Other Online Retailer? Why Wouldn't You Guys Support Your Local Golf Shop Or Community?

Dude, everytime I go to a Golfsmith or GolfGalaxy and you ask them to try a product out, they act like you're bothering them, and don't give you their undivided attention. I am never going to buy anything from one of those stores again. And, I guarantee you EVERY Ping dealer does NOT sell Ping product at the same price.

I understand what your saying but there are a lot more local golf shops than those 2...... Also if any Ping dealer sells the i20's for less than $799.00 they will lose their license to sell Ping clubs..... That is very well documented......
I hate to see all these local golf shops struggling for no reason

Actually, they do or they risk losing their acoount. As far as Golfsmith or Golf Galaxy, I think that is hit or miss. Some of them have a few decent salesman. I purchased my S56's from a local shop which actually cost me about $40 more than if I would have purchased them online where I would not have had to pay sales tax. It's for that reason that I rarely buy from in state on major purchases. I guess I just felt generous this last go around on the irons. Tharor I felt extremely guilty about going in to confirm, the color code I was going to purchase, then buying online.

Not sure what angle you're coming from right now but having worked in the golf business for awhile now, I can tell you this is simply not true. I've asked around and done research and there are accounts that get away with it. My questions are always dodged and never get a straight answer.

I agree with J.W. here
I think they make sure that everyone's "advertised" price is the same. I wouldn't think you would have to sell them for that. Usually the sets on the wall are at "demo prices" to have a product to show for stores that fit and do more custom clubs than anything. I don't think that Ping is going to yank an account that does pretty well if they discount a set of irons off the wall because someone was fit as a black dot.

Yes, Ping employs a fixed MAP strategy, minimum ADVERTISED price. Most of the large retailers stick to that price in actuality, but some of the smaller places deviate from it when making the actual sale.

I am looking to get the i20 Irons 4-UW with either the Stock CFS or Nippon 950.

I hit them over the weekend for the first time, and they are likely going to kick my Mizuno MX-300 (An underated set of irons IMO out of my bag)

I have purchased several products from DD's, but I will not comment on their pricing. Simply send them a email or give them a call. They are very easy to deal with.

You need to call DD for a price and compare it with their competition. As others have mentioned in this thread, they are excellent to deal with and I have bought clubs for years from them. It is inappropriate to post prices.
