do these have a firm sole or are they just as flexible as the original Nike Free's? personally, i like a firm sole like the lunar controls or FJ sports. if they are firm, i would seriously consider getting some if the price is right.

Tiger snapped an eyelet yesterday. Isn't that at least the 2nd time? I've got these on pre-order and I'm beginning to wonder whether I should wait for version #2. I don't think Nike will be around to hand me another $180 shoe as I walk up the 9th fairway. Additionally, when thinking of how long they might last, wouldn't you have to think Tiger has new shoes each round & they're still busting. Anyone else concerned?

From what I've seen he ties his shoes extremely tight. Uncomfortably tight from what I've seen on tv. I don't think normal people tie their shoes that tight. Any eyelet would stress or break like that. FWIW

I tie my shoes very tight also and busted the eyelet on my hoot joy dryjoy pros, I was soo pissed, took two pairs of shoes to find ones that were comfortable walking. I'm buying these when they are released and hope that doesn't happen.

Can anybody chime in on how these size? Do you run smaller or larger or right on? Is sizing more in line with Nike's Free line of running shoes, training shoes or Nike's golf shoe line? Any input would be greatly appreciated as I'm trying to a pre-order but can't decide on sizing.

I currently have an old pair of nike running free's at 11.5 and I have a pair of nike golf shoes at 10.5

I tried the Free Golf shoes on in the same size I wear the Free Running shoes and they fit identically to my foot.

I'd be willing to bet i'll be able to get a pair for no more than $119 on eBay from a guy i always buy my TW Zoom shoes from. The most i've paid for them is $150 and that is also when they first come out. Once i find them in his store, i'll share the link once i've ordered my size.

They do. These are pretty similar to the Nike Free 5.0's

Here is the scoop; MAP is $229 on them, street price is $179. They are available in size 9-12 only, white and black release in VERY limited quantities. Each rep is given a certain run and those are split 1/2 white and 1/2 black. I feel the white will be the tougher color to find for the 6/8 release...

seems like they did a little redesign of the black one, IMO it doesnt look as good as the prototype that they released originally. i was all gun-ho about getting the black one when i saw the prototype, but now seeing the real deal...im gonna hold off.

and 179.99 is kinda high, given that you can get the lunar controls for $150 or less...

Frees are 100 to 120, do 179 isn't ludicrous. It's not a deal though, puma super cell fusion ice for 250 is ludicrous.
