why do TM have to produce tour and non tour gear?
The same reason every major OEM does. The average player and the better players have very different games and each company makes clubs that can be used by golfers of all types.

In the bag: Playing --- TaylorMade  Qi 10 (core) driver w/Fujikura Ventus Blue 6S. 3wd TM (OG) SIM (special smaller tour only head, same that TW was playing prior to the '24 Genesis approx 160cc) @ 15.*) with Fujikura Ventus 7-S.  5 wd TM SIM w/Fujikura Speeder 857TR-S (Japan made)

HyBrids-Cleveland Hi-Bore #1 (16* plays like 2-Iron) W/Fuji-S Tipped 1/2".  SIM Max #4 (set @ 21.5* w/ Fuji Atmos HB8 9S.  IRONS:  TM M3 4i (2*weak)w SteelFiber i95-S,  P790 3, 5-PW,  w/Fuji Pro 95i-S. SW TM MG4  54*/11 bent to 53*/10 w/ Precision Rifle 6.0-S. LW TaylorMade Hi Toe 3, 58/10 w/Modus Tour 105 Stiff. Putter-- BOBBY GRACE Night&Day-Custom, "M.Coz-Bandsaw Prototype". Ball 2022 TaylorMade Tour Response
Alternating clubs: the 5wd, TM Hybrid Stealth 2+ #2, 3Iron, depending on what part of the country, course, climate, and conditions.

I don't get why this is so confusing. There are regular RBZ heads, and there are Tour RBZ heads. BOTH ARE AVAILABLE TO THE GENERAL PUBLIC. There is also a TP option for both of them, which is a shaft upgrade. So, all in all, there are four combinations.

If you hit a TP and it was a different head shape than the regular, it was the other head.

Then u have harrington,Rose, and some others still playing the R11, right Will? Btw, I saw Cooky using the rbz fairway for some champions tour info, and he's a Nike staffer!

He's not with nike anymore, wearing a titleist hat. Im not sure if he is contracted to play all titleist clubs or not though.

Harrington, Rose, KJ, Jesper, a few others, there are around 10 out there any given week, all but one or two are dots.

The Kuro Kage lists for $199 on the mrc site. They just released I guess. Also, there is a non tour, tour, and tp head in rbz...right WP? I hit the tour and then tp and loved the shape of the tp. What does the non tour look like?
The Kuro Kage is going to be big. All of the feedback I have received on the has been solid... Early prediction here, but maybe one of the best shafts of this year. I have had a few already, a few more landing this week.

Here are comparison pictures of the two. Also known on tour as the Deep Face Tour model and Shallow Face non tour model. These are the only two heads to the retail market and on the van at this time.

Golf.com says that Luke Donald was playing a RBZ 9.5* at Transitions. First win for RBZ, right?

Not the first for RBZ, but it was the first for the RBZ Driver on the PGA Tour.

In the bag: Playing --- TaylorMade  Qi 10 (core) driver w/Fujikura Ventus Blue 6S. 3wd TM (OG) SIM (special smaller tour only head, same that TW was playing prior to the '24 Genesis approx 160cc) @ 15.*) with Fujikura Ventus 7-S.  5 wd TM SIM w/Fujikura Speeder 857TR-S (Japan made)

Are many players using the R11s fairway wood? I went to a fitting today and numbers came out favouring RBZ TOUR 9 driver with R11s fairway.

RBZ fairway too close to driver and I just seemed more comfortable with head size and look of R11s.

Thought that might be a strange setup......Anyone on tour have this makeup??

Has there been anything like this in the past with the introduction of a new club or is this explosion exclusive to the RBZ?
The last major intro of a fairway wood that had anywhere near this impact was the Orlimar TriMetal in the 90's. While it didn't hit this fast, it had a pretty insane share of Tour players on both the PGA and Senior Tours.
For several years they dominated the FW market among consumers also. Players from all other OEMs were playing them. It will be interesting to see here this goes.
I have two of them in my bag (T-3, T-5) I haven't carried two FW woods in a decade.
Titleist 975's were plentiful and in play for a long time if memory serves me. The number of 975F's and EI-70 combo's was probably one of the highest FWY head / Graphtie shaft combo ever.

No to be honest there is not a single one in play!

MCCA the tour is a more compact head with an open face, deeper face

Non tour is a more square face also a little larger looking, shallower face.

Also, I've heard the non-tour is much lighter and as such can be hotmelted out the wazoo! The tour model is much heavier and doesn't allow for as much tweaking.

Not sure if anyone noticed, but it appears that Charles Howell III was testing out the RBZ driver at today's Tavistock Cup.

I know CH3 switches a lot... had the Razr Fit in the bag in Hawaii and then ditched it in favor of the i20 for a good number of weeks now.

It will be interesting to see how long or if he keeps it in play.

Regardless there seems to be a lot of buzz on tour right now.

The driver was successful, the 3wd really wasn't business wise and actually that was the last time that many Titleist staff carried other fairway clubs. The Orlimars were quite a bit longer (when the pros could use the length) and better out of the rough. They clearly dominated. Callaway was big and they had the next best from a playing sense. TM had nothing much going themselves. Ping even less! Adams Tight Lies was expanding more among those needing GI equipment. It wasn't until the 2000s that Titleist fairways managed to reach anyone outside of those who were drinking the kool-aid.

That is what i saw looking at the 2 heads. I picked up the Non Tour RBZ today in a 10.5. I was looking for Maximum distance. If it's to high of flight i might change the shaft to a tour model but i really liked the head shap of the standard RBZ.

Regarding the 3 woods, are guys noticing a difference in distance between the non-tour vs. tour heads? The non-tour looks extremely forgiving but i don't like looking at a closed club face in a fairway... i finally got to see the tour 14.5 in person today and it looked great.. just have to see ball flight between the two ASAP and get a better sense for the overall feel

Jpturtle here you go.

Garrigus- RBZ Non Tour 8.5 with Kaili
Villegas- RBZ Non Tour 10.5 with TP7(BIG Bucks to play these shafts)
Goosen- RBZ Tour 9 with PX
Snedekar- He finally dropped the SF Non TP Proto + only for a R11S, which is pretty big news...
Verplank- He picked up a R11S this week with an Attas T2, also picked up a new RBZ tour 14.5
Garcia- Last I heard he was still playing the R11S, although he has been messing around with RBZs but hasent found one thats longer than his current set up.
Anyone else?

I did also hear this week that DJ has already exploded a club this year. That doesnt speak poorly for the R11S, just shows how hard that guy swings. He would break any club...

Another interesting thing from what I am hearing the hottest shaft out there is the Kuro Kage, its picking up a ton of players every week. Also the Tour Spec Speeders are getting a lot of play, they are also very good shafts.
