RBZ TOUR UPDATE!!!

Regarding the 3 woods, are guys noticing a difference in distance between the non-tour vs. tour heads? The non-tour looks extremely forgiving but i don't like looking at a closed club face in a fairway... i finally got to see the tour 14.5 in person today and it looked great.. just have to see ball flight between the two ASAP and get a better sense for the overall feel
I just got my Tour 14.5* and IMO it still sits a little closed. It's a high draw machine and it's almost as long as my driver, which is also very long.

For me, It'll be great off the tee when a draw is a must....

What shaft did you go with? I'm thrilled I went with the RIP NV, it's a great shaft. A tad light, but I was trying to keep the weight in line with what TM was building...

No. Latest word on tour was the first foundry they used put the tour on there twice, these are also slightly smaller, like 10CC. However there are tour versions ones with tour once that are basically the same head as the first version.

Mine looks like is sets about 2° open but I do have it in the lower setting. That is weird your looks like that.

?? RBZ fairways do NOT feature FCT or ASP adjustability ??

Gotcha. Thanks for clarifying. Seemed a little redundant to put tour on there twice

is it safe to say that on tour and retail that rbz fairways are miles ahead of r11s fairways in terms of popularity/performance/distance?

YES----
r11s offers adjustability, but the RBZ is miles ahead on sales, performance, popularity and distance

There are still a few R11 fairways in play but not a single R11S in play. That should say something.

pretty amazing, i wonder if TM will end up eating a bit of a loss on the r11s 3 woods, obviously it's all relative with the success/notoriety of the RBZ FW but it just seems to have 0 buzz right now.

Wow, I'm guessing there isn't much change from the R11 fairways then. People who were playing them and didn't make the switch to RBZ stayed put.

Agreed. Literally there is no visual difference other than the paint break changed on the R11s. The s even features the same ASP (3 sided). I'll say that the R11 fairway was no slouch, I played the Ti all last season and it was a great club. The RBZ is just that much better...

I have 3 rounds of use with mine... not bad. I'm not in love with the Phenom TP shaft but it will soon be changed for the motore 8.2 . I've hit some pretty amazing shots with it like yesterday I must have been 260 out ( after I dumped a drive) in a head wind and rolled it to 5 feet (missed birdie..damn punched greens) Most shots have a slight draw, but I prefer a slight cut with the 3w...

The R11 was the first fairway wood I really hit well and liked. Was always a weak spot in my game until getting fit to the R11 with an Oban Kiyoshi in it. I just got an RBZ tour 14.5 setup with a fubuki k series that I bought from will and it is sweet. I was thinking I'd hold onto the R11 bc of how good I hit it but after a couple days with the RBZ/fubuki setup I'm pretty sure I'm going to be safe to go ahead and sell the R11 haha

Right there with ya. My only complaint is the weight of the shaft I chose in the Tour TP. I went with the RIP NV 65X (69g) and I had a Motore F3 in my R11 (83g)... So, it's been quite the adjustment and I'm literally swinging the RBZ too fast with very little feel of WHERE THE HECK THE CLUBHEAD IS during my swing. I guess I'm going to have to start looking at a shaft more towards 80g. Maybe in the 75-80g range...I'm also ready to cut the extra half inch off of the RBZ Tour TP, it's just too long and I don't need the extra distance...

I really thought the RBZ tour was going to be the fairway of the year and going in the bag..but with all this talk of the adams XTD SF, I' m definitely checking that bad boy out, sounds fantastic.

John.....I sort of got swept up with the Adams as well.....checked it out yesterday and simply don't like the setup of it. Not a fan of the visible slot or the pretty bad paint job.

I hear you not liking looking down at the slot on the head, but if this thing will really give me that much more distance and easier to hit off the deck,I'll suck it up! Lol

The Kiyoshi in my R11 is 81 grams and I went with the Fubuki K80x in the RBZ tour that is 83 grams I believe. Cut to 42.75" and D3 swingweight. It's a sweet stick! Fubuki looks badass in the club too lol

What's the latest on the RBZ driver? Is it getting the same following as the fairways.

BTW - just picked up a 13* tour today because of this thread and it is ridiculous!
Nothing is as hot as the fairways right now... The RBZ diver is getting about 10 plays a week versus the RBZ fairway which is getting like 50 and the R11S which is getting like 20.
