They didn't recieved too much love from the masses, but I love my Titleist ZM Forged blades. They have stayed in the bag the last 3 years of ho'ing. I had Adams cb2's, Cleveland cg7 tours, Titliest 735's all try to kick them out and none succeeded. They just fit my swing perfect and I live the look.

Callaway X Forged '09

Have tried many different irons, and even have an unused set of Callaway Prototype blades in the garage, but nothing can beat them for feel, control & forgiveness.

I think it was my Hogan Apex Plus irons quite a few years back. I am currently using Bridgestone J40 DPC irons and only have a couple of rounds on them so far but they look and feel great so I may have to rethink my above statement after a few more rounds.

710 ap2 all the way. For me the kbs ap2 combo is pretty hard to beat. However, I have played them so much that I struggle to hit anything else. The ping s56 irons look great though. I think I will have to try them.

Well after trying lots of clubs the last few years after getting serios about golf again I'd say the best I've played are my current irons - Callaway X Proto's.
They out perform MP68's and are as easy to hit as a cavity - they feel great and they look amazing.

One of the key ingredients to irons playing well is Loft & Lie checking them. I've been doing some work with peoples clubs for a few months now and obviously there are many experts on the forum who I'm learning from but I'd be sure they would back this up as I have had most sets requiring at least some bending.
Especially forged irons - one guys set where about 4 degrees more upright than he needed and the lofts where all over the place.

My current set MP-33. It's beat up, dings everywhere and browning in almost every club but I love them.

nike pro combos (original and tour). have yet to find a complete iron set that is equal to this. not saying i haven't found irons i like better, but not as a complete set. i don't like cavity back short irons and i can't hit blades or muscle back long irons.

Just posted this on another thread, but I'll add it here as well. The Adams A12 Pros are the best irons I've ever hit. I had Pings for years, and before that Callaway and Cleveland and Taylor Made.

I have around 20 rounds on these and they are by far the most consistant I have played to date...

I would say the most under rated and best priced iron out there by far...
