That course can get tough if you're not driving the ball well, or at least straight.

Any group need another player today?? I haven't played in 8 months and I can't take it anymore. Don't worry, it should BUT won't keep me from wanting to wager at least a little bit. Newish to the area, and still looking for some golf buddies.

420 yd par 4 from the whites...at my age??? really messed up myself swinging too hard...

...and the greens at clay were running about 14 yesterday, lol...but i putted really well cuz i practiced a bunch before the round...however, my overswinging continued from the day before...i suck...

Plum creek fairways are beautiful 10/10. Greens grainy 8/10 and the tee boxes are egg shaped and sandy. 6.5/10.

Yes! Played them on Saturday...it was like they dumped sand on almost every single green. Not to mention it was probably one of the slowest rounds I've ever played.

I played Avery Ranch for the first time yesterday. That was a pretty tough course with the wind! Starter was very rude for some reason.

Teravista's greens have improved since last Wednesday, but are still showing signs of recent aeration. They're not as bumpy as they were, but are not as good as they have been in previous years. The course is about to lose about a quarter of the front right of #4 green. It looks really bad. They'll probably set the pin on the far left or middle. The weekend forecast will present more of a problem than the greens. Another week and the greens will be perfect with the exception of #4.

I've stopped looking at drivers after I put a mini driver in my bag (aeroburner).. went thru a stage where I was switching out drivers every other month.. glad that is in the past now..

played kizer saturday, clay today...quite the complex, as usual...2 distinct courses, big boy practice area...yeah, it's a muni, and not in immaculate, high-dollar shape...but the courses are a lot of fun, and challenging...went 79/87...didnt really warm up today, unfortunately, and it showed...no glaring mistakes, but lots of little things...did hit every putt to within a foot, with 2 dropping in from the edge...just didnt have the warm up i need to be sharp...wish i lived somewhat close so i could practice a bunch there...

Played Falconhead yesterday afternoon and the greens are starting to ice up again. They punched them about a month ago and now that they're fully back, it's playing around 10 on the meter.

 

It's soggy everywhere but all this rain is going to make for a fun summer at all our neighborhood courses.

Teravista is rolling quite well right now and the fairways are great. These abnormal, for Central Texas, conditions has me wishing I could play more golf right now. Too bad work and two kids in diapers has me busy. Retirement can't come soon enough!
