Does not look much different to the 910 and why change the weight shape?

What Taylormade did right was made all weights and shaft adaptors the same through each model evolution, so when you change driver there are no issues with changing the shafts/weight.

Already Titleist, on only their second model of adjustable driver, have changed the weight shape, thus making all 910 weight kits unusable in the new drivers.
It's actually the other way around. If the new weight shape is better for the long term, might as well introduce it now so that you're only incompatible with one generation of products.

Besides, it's not like the 910 weight kit sold very well. My guess is that they changed the weight shape to make it easier to use in fairways and especially hybrids.

I just scanned the whole thread and didn't see that this was asked, so...

It looks as though there is a threaded hole just behind the cavity for the Sure-fit screw on the bottom of the heads. Anyone know the purpose of it? I don't recall seeing it on the 910 series.

i love that they retained the 910 looks. I did not want to see a large deviation from it since I love the way it sets up. A D3 with a bigger sweet spot, or a D2 with less spin is a winner in my book. The 910 is a great driver and it will be tough to beat. The launch monitor will tell the truth once they come out.

You didn't plan to fail, you failed to plan!

It looks like the Sure-Fit Hosel is the same as the 910? Maybe I missed it, but can anyone confirm? If so, that's great news for those of use who already own premium shafts for 910s
Was glad to hear that confirmed as I have a Tour AD DI 7S and a brand new Oban Kiyoshi 65 Stiff for my 910 D3, along with a stock Project X.

That is a beautiful driver. Nice headcover too.
I personally like the 910 Headcovers better. These new ones do loook more "updated".

Who cares about the head cover, that's what iliac is for :)

Wish the paint job was less BAM in your face, but i'm sure i'll buy as i have plenty of shafts to use.

Thanks for the pictures.

I definitely get the Titleist fitter at my club to put me on the monitor on the range and give it a go against what I have now. I'm pretty happy with what I have, and really love my 910 D3.

Titleist has kept the classic look, and while the face is busy, notice that you can't see that from the pictures, even the pictures from certain angles.

I'll give it a go, but ONLY, ONLY if it gives me a significant gain in performance. It's similar enough in looks like my 910, and I do NOT like that headcover at all. I'm in the market for the fairways and hybrids. I'm sure I'll end up switching, because Titleist is like Ping. They release and it's a REAL improvement over the previous model in most cases.

Man this thread is getting a lot of action. I love when new equipment is released!!!
Amen!

Titleist makes a SOLID driver that gets pushed under the radar and used mainly by staff. It's the best driver I've ever used. Period.

My group of around 10 guys that I play with regularly, all carry sub 9' caps, and all but 2 use something thats not a 909 or 910.

The new weight design allows for the weight to be more on the outside of the head rather than screwed into the head. This decreases spin a minute amount and is mostly intended for swing weighting. Details of the new design features can be found out there. The face has a thinner outer area for distance. That's it for the new features.

The headcover looks a bit like a black Barney, with the chevron being his mouth.

I like the addition of some color to the sole and the graphics on the face, Titleist had to do something to differentiate it from the 910 without changing it too much. Curious about the tech story behind the face insert, which is the biggest change from the 910. that said, i love my 910 D2 and i don't see myself parting with it anytime soon.

Thanks Richard for the 'scoop'.

I'm hoping that the 913 will be a better performer than the 910.............God I loved my 910 but after numerous efforts with different shafts and adjustments I just could not get it dialed in to give me the distance I was looking for..........The R11 did that within 30 minutes with one of the shafts that I had tried in the 910 - an Aldila RIP Alpha 60 - and promptly blew the 910 out of the water time and time again by 15-20yards.........I hate the sound and feel of the R11 and I'm really hoping the 913 will put a Titleist driver back in my bag.

Guys the details are out there. Flat weight promotes lower spin (very slightly) because it's not deeper inside the head and the face is more springy along the edges. All else is the same as 910.

It would be cool to see some comparison Trackman data from AT&T between the 913 and 910.

I have the sense that there will be "Made For" versions of the next generation Diamana's as the stock offerings. Just a hunch....

MSRP: $399
Additional weights will be avalible for purchase
Launch and and spin of the D2 and D3 are very similar
D2: 460cc D3: 445cc

That's an interesting bit of info I read also. The 913 D2 and D3 have pretty much the same launch and spin, but really only vary in CC size.

This is 100% what I expected out of the 913 line. Updated aestetics with no major changes to the overall design with the selling point being some added distance. Seems they're acheiving that from a newer face and reduced spin.

For me, the 910 has been the best driver I have ever owned in terms of looks, distance, and forgiveness. This will be very simple, take my shaft off of my 910 head and screw it on the 913. If the LM numbers and on course performance are better I will own one.
