If all there is is 1/2 degree, then the only real utility (IMO) of adjustability is that I'd be able to switch out shafts more easily.

Glad Ping is getting into the game - just (like others) I was expecting something more innovative.
I think the big innovative one was the titleist 910 surefit, they nailed it.

I will say this, ping did a great job of maintaining the clean look with this one. That's a big plus, I hate it when you get a big clunky neck on the club.

I guess the small amount of adjustability keeps the emphasis on Ping's belief in custom fit being the way forward. They will still recommend that you go through the fitting process, yet still allow a small bit of fine-tuning.

As a result, they are seen to be moving with the times, yet still keeping to their core principles as much as possible.

Thanks for that.

Attractive looking driver, for what that's worth. Interesting to see how it performs vs the G20 and I20 offerings.

Also, I remember reading how Ping was going to blow everyone's mind when they finally released their adjustable offering. Bit of a letdown after reading that so many times but it's a good looking club.

They've done what no one else has, made an adjustable driver with a normal size hosel.

But only .5 degree? What's the point, really should be at least .75

It does look awesome though, if the rumours are true that this is a $450 driver it will be massively over priced for the lack of adjustability.

Looks like my Rapture V2 is still safe

Wedge looks nice. But the driver with only + or - 1/2 degree can only be described as "why bother"..Production variation and digital measuring can produce those numbers with todays drivers.. + or - 1.5 would have great. + or - 1 would have been the minimum. Big disappointment. With this product they really are saying they still don't see any advantage to adjustability. I'm sure the weight will be similar to the RBZ weight which appears to be a soft metal that is loctited in and can only be removed by basically destroying it.. The hosel design looks very junky compared to pings usual high class material usage..

As the other gentleman said my Rapture V2 7.5 is safe big time.

I'm surprised at the adjustable driver. During the Ping Q & A not too long ago they said they wouldn't have an adjustable driver because they felt it compromised the weight distribution, or something to that affect.
Which is code for "we haven't really come up with something we're happy with yet".

As for the weight, I'm sure someone will figure out how to remove it if it's not made to come out. It'd be a fairly simple tool to machine.

I know a lot of golfers who have adjustable drivers and I can count on one hand the number of them who have actually adjusted them more then once.

Love the look. I'd take a g20 or k15 in that finish and be happy.

I want to know how this is supposed to compare to the G20 and I20 drivers. From the looks of the driver they combined the shape of the G20 with the appearance of the I20. Which sounds like Adrina Lima and Olivia Munn had a baby miraculously.
I have had outstanding distance with the I20 and G20 more forgiving. If the Anser has those attributes I will buy.
I'm also wondering if the Anser is going to allow interchangeable shafts. I don't know if any adjustable drivers don't but if this one only has the 1/2 a degree of loft and open/closed face. It will be sad.

I also wonder if the new Tour wedge will offer the Rustique option.

Driver looks alright, but there is some misconception on ALL adjustability. If loft changes at impact then face angle will change when the club is soled at address, and if face angle changes at address then loft at impact will change. (dynamic loft that is when the face is square) It is simple geometry.

As for the amount that ping is offering I don't think it is enough unless you have been custom fitted and ordered a digitally lofted driver, as pings tolerances have been shoddy at best. That having been said they could tighten their loft tolerances and make this driver much more relevant.

Folks...everyone's getting what they want, adjusters want a clubs they can "adjust" simply because they can, and PING put out a driver that they know 95% of you will set up neutral/standard anyway.

Well the 910 claims independent loft from face angle.

Why is almost everyone drooling over this driver? You can only see the sole.
Because it has appeased the hivemind asking for an adjustable from PING. Don't tell that to all the i20 and G20 owners though, they're too busy hitting fairways and not changing loft and face angle on the range :pimp:

It's hard to believe Ping haddock joined the ranks of the adjustable drivers. The wedges look good but wonder if they are worth the difference in the Tour S prices.
I don't think it's hard to believe at all. The market has clearly spoken. Adjustable drivers are the preferred choice of touring professionals and amateur players alike. Ping would be foolish from a business standpoint to just ignore the demand and concede this market to their competitors without a fight.

On looks alone, it is what I was hoping for: G20 forgiveness with i20 looks. Will see after a demo. As far as adjustability, shaft swapping is really all I care about.

Side note: Looks like new grips as well.
