I don't see how this fitting process would be any different than their G20/I20 drivers. Being able to go up or down a 1/2 degree seems pointless. I'm sure the driver will be great, perhaps a mix of of the G20 and I20? But in terms of adjustability, this is a swing and a miss by PING.
Got to agree with this. The driver looks great, but is anyone really going to notice 1/2 a degree? Also, no adjustability for lie angle, which is as important in my view. Seems like Ping have released this as a token gesture to satiate the 'adjustability' fans, and perhaps quell the criticism of them for not releasing anything people can tinker with, without really making the club adjustable at all.

Had they really wanted to make an adjustable driver, with their engineering skills, they could have offered far more options than +/- 0.5 degree.

The way Ping could guarantee this driver to be a winner is to offer the shaft sleeves to the public for a reasonable price.
That is going to determine the timing for me on this. I have been bagging an i20 with 60 stiff kaili and I don't see any reason to change unless the shaft adaptors are avaliable right away and for a decent price.

Knowing how ping does things though, that probably won't be the case.

I'll try the wedges, they look nice.

My local store and club both have fitting carts with Ping drivers that have screw on demo shafts, I had one for about a week.

That's incorrect. My local Roger Dunn golf shop has a PING fitting cart with screw in i20/20 heads. I'll snap a pic next time I'm in.

in canada at golftown we fit people with various I20, G20, and K15 heads of different lofts that screw into many different shafts.
very similar design to the fitting irons of different colour codes.

If you need anymore adjustment then .5 degree you have purchased the wrong head to begin with.
I agree 100% PING prides themselves on proper fitting of a club BEFORE you purchase it. If you do get properly fit 1/2* is plenty of adjustability. I am sure they see people using the adjustability to give themselves an advantage on courses that favor more of a left to right shot shape or a right to left shape not eliminate their banana slice. I personally own 910 woods and driver and won't be switching. My biggest issue is that the majority of people would rather adjust the club rather than making some swing changes. I only got the 910 because I love the look and feel of the club. Basically if PING is saying if you need to adjust more than 1/2* you were improperly fit. Still would love PING to have tighter tolerances in their loft, I have seen clubs that are up to a whole degree of what is on the club.

Ping's adjustability is too little too late. 'Easier to swap shafts' doesn't apply b/c I stick with one shaft after being fitted.

But... I do applaud PING for making that adjustable hosel (or more like ferrule in this case) SMALL. Most of the adjustable necks are fat and/or ugly.

I'm not sure about the sole graphics, but I like the all black flat finish. Because it's a PING, I'll give it a go.

I applaud PING.....they know what they are doing......more so than most here. Nice looking driver and since I'm a huge PING driver fan, I'll wait to pass judgement once I hit it and get the a numbers. Love the fat you can switch shafts.

I think it is a good looking driver. For me an adjustable driver was a good purchase because I was trying to fix a hook. The Titleist D2 910 will be hard to replace. However, I got on an adjustment kick and got way out of wack. I went to a fitter and had him adjust it. Then I gave my friend the wrench!!!

Well, just scraped the egg off my face, and have the repeating taste of crow in my mouth. I really thought Ping being the engineering company they are would not come out with a limited design like this and would instead use this: http://www.puku.co.nz/golf/ what seems to be the best technology for adjustability having independent lie, loft and face angle. Puku had adjustable length belly putters prior to Ping, so I thought there may be a connection. I'm wondering who will finally jump on this technology.
This design from Ping is very limited, much like the i-Fit from Callaway that design limited to face angle changes only. TM still has them all beat.
