Ping Goes Adjustable! First Looks new Anser Driver & wedge

Wonder if the finish on face and sole will hold up any better that the i20 woods (probably not) I have the i20 3w and 20° & 24° hybrids and the finish comes off almost immediately,,,

Ive seen a few posts about the shaft options, but has anyone confirmed which weights in those shafts will be available as stock options?

This is by far the worst ping driver ever made. Not only are they 3 years behind schedule of adjustable drivers, it looks horrible and you can only go .5 degrees either way. This shouldnt be that big of a seller except for PING guru's.The wedge looks just like the tour s or tour w. Nothing different there.

That is totally false. The major accounts likely have only seen the product sheets and prices to place orders from. These will not be available until late August at the earliest.

Got to wonder what people do to their clubs to claim that the finish has worn off. I've been hitting mine since early April (3-4 rounds a week plus practice) and you can hardly tell they have been hit. Then again, seeing how some treat their clubs, maybe it isn't surprising.

Not talking about driver, talking about fairway and hybrids... Where they make contact with the ground or if any dirt gets between ball and face the finish comes right off

Yours is an atypical experience. My 4 wood and hybrids are in nearly new condition with lots of use. I would contact your Ping dealer for an evaluation.

Black finishes from every company I've tried are relatively flimsy. Nothing you can do. Then again, I'm a digger and I generate a lot of spin which does not help the face or sole.

I don't mess around with the adjustments,so I realy don't care about the 1/2 inch increments,I just realy wanted a black g20 and now I'm going to get to do that. Realy excited about it. I wonder any fairways or hybrids?

I kn ow this isn't new info to all but $400 for the driver, $250 for the fairway woods, and $129 for the wedges.

Was a standard bearer at the John Deere Classic and was with Zack Miller, Ed Loar, and Jordan Speith on Friday. Zack was playing the Anser driver. Nice looking driver in person. Deep too.

I've also seen Lee Westwood with it. He was at a Charity day in the North East of England. He was interviewed on Sky Sports News about his fitness concerns ahead of the Open. It showed a clip of him hitting driver, at first I thought it was a I20 but then when I reviewed it and paused it I noticed it had the adjustment screw on the sole. I loved the i20 but sold it as I didnt want to risk having it reshafted. Adjustable drivers are superb just for the ease of trying other shafts and being able to get it back as it was in a few clicks if the new shaft doesnt work out as hoped. Looking forward to seeing it in the flesh, although the 'Anser' line is always top price so I will probably resist temptation.

No adjustment to speak of. No weight change so shaft changing will be limited to same weight shafts (unless the change is done by Ping). Ugly looking adjustable hosel. Same awful half moon alignment mark on crown. The only thing that will sell this driver at this price is if they pass or equal the RBZ ball speed numbers. Duplicating the ball speed numbers of the i20 or G20 won't command that price..
