How about some more options for us lefties?! Please Mizuno, please. Please. I'm needing new wedges, but when summer comes around I'm just not sure the lack of options is gonna work. What if I need a 58* with 10-13* of bounce? what if I am wanting a lower lofted sandwedge like a 54/12? There is just not enough options for us, you know when the righties are saying there aren't enough options, the lefties are really getting left out in the cold. Probably gonna be 588s for me. We'll see.

My lefty whinning is over. Sorry, had to get that out..

legitimate. even for us right handed golfers a few more options would be great.

I hit these with some other wedges (vokey sm4, tour s) mostly chips and pitches with only a few full shots. I preferred the t4 and was in the midst of pulling the trigger when someone suggested that I keep a 4* gap with my new i20 pw (46*) and go 50, 54, 58. I have never tried that before and it threw me for a loop.

after considering it and reading some threads combined with not really being in the mood to readjust to the different yardages so I am pretty much locked on to 5* gaps. 51 (50 bent weak), 56 and 60 (even though i have not always had a ton of use for a 60 and am consciously working on incorporating more bump and run chipping in my life).

any, my i20's are the first irons i have had bent flat (purple dot) and it has helped. much fewer pull hooks and hooks... a lot more slight fades but frankly that is fine (just have to get judge smails out of my head). I bent my current wedges flat to match and I think I am hitting those straighter too (probably way overdue as I am 5'9")

anyway. I was checking the specs on the t4's and noticed they are 1* flatter than seems std (63 vs 64) and the gap wedges are 0.25" shorter. I am still likely going to order them at 0.5* flat to match. Does the 0.25" shorter length affect your distance on the gap? I mean presumably it is a few yards shorter. Since I am shorter than average anyway this should help. Just curious what others have found. Also, anyone else struggle with thinking of getting the OEM gap/utility wedge since it will get a lot of full swing use?

thanks for any and all feedback/insight.

no difference for me with the length being shorter.

Is there anywhere the general public can get the club with the engraving? I think that is a very nice touch.

I just ordered a set of MP64s with the PX 5.5 shaft. I am thinking about ordering the T4 50 deg and wondered if I should get the same shaft as the irons. Any suggestions?

Personal preference... If you are accustom to the PX in wedges then yes. I have CTAPERS in my irons - but have never made the change in wedges away from DGs300/400. For some reason this has been a staple in my bag for years regardless the wedge played. The weight feels right for the touch shots.

I bought a 56/13 and bent it to 54. You still get the bounce at 11 degree.

have a 52 58 combo in these with the DG spinner shafts and love the combo. Great spin and the great Mizuno forged feel. Couldn't be happier!

thanks for taking the time to write up the review. very detailed and pic heavy - just as i like it!

for full disclosure purposes, did you receive these wedges for free from mizuno? i just want to know how many grains of salt i should be taking when i read this. also, you seemed to answer all the questions folks were asking you, except the below.

thanks.

Are these gonna replace your ATVs? Or can you not answer that?

read it for face value. if the wedges were crap i would have no problem saying it.

i received the wedges free through GOLFWRX/MIZUNO. in the editor review format there are certain criteria that must be covered. comparing product "a" vs "b" is not a part of the review process.

i played the MP-T4 for the better part of the year until i made the switch to the 2014 NIKE wedges. my main issue with the MIZUNO MP-T4 was grinds/bounce (as you will see in the main review). i wasn't able to do everything that i wanted with confidence in NW playing conditions. the weight was also a hair light. the NIKE wedges fix everything that was lacking in what i thought was a fantastic MP-T4 wedge.

not quite sure the context of this (and i did go back through and read his posts in this thread)...

these are great wedges (with the right shaft - no spinners for me!).

so i am going to bump this thread. i bought a set of 50-54-58 wedges w/ the DG spinner shafts in them. I play mizuno MP53s w/ DG S300 and hit them good. The wedges seem to go everywhere….it seems that spinner shafts are very inaccurate. I hit my buddies SM4 w/ X100…throwing absolute darts with it. I am going to pull these shafts and put in X100s. i have NO issues w/ spin on my S300 or the X100 in his SM4. Cant wait to report back with how the new shafts do!
