Has anyone tried or know the difference between the Fuji Banzai shaft it comes with and the UST iRod?

I have the MD 17 and 21. Sonartec make clubs that when poked properly, work better than any other club poked similarly, IMHO.

I've got the 17, 19, and 21 hybrids all with iRod Stiff. After the honeymoon, the lower kick point is starting to bother me a little. Anyone have any advice? I'm thinking of reshafting the 19 with an aldila 85 hybrid (I really like the nv 75 S in my SS 3.5). PLEASE PM me with any advice.

It's a great club, best when you put a good swing on it.

 

It's also 'aging' by today's planned obsolescence standards. I wonder when Sonartec will do a makeover? Thought I read somewhere that this was in the works, but I can't find a reference to that statement.

I've had mine for about three years now. Best thing ever invented. I have a 21* with a 904HB Speeder shaft in it. Perfect 220 club for me. Easy to hit like a 7 wood and iron like flight. Great combo and even better club.

Had trouble holding greens with the stock irod shaft. Swapped it out for a satin px 6.0 shaft. 235-240 yd missile launcher. Lost maybe 5 yards but now as accurate as a 7 or 8 iron. Played Pumpkin Ridge a couple of weeks ago and had a 240 yd uphill third shot to a par 5 (after duffing my lay up). Knocked it to 10 ft. No other hybrid I've tried has been able to do that. It's in the bag until it breaks.

Are these easily used off the tee? Are they available with any shaft if ordered?

You might want to take a look at the newer HB-001...easier to hit, but still a players type club, and available with pretty much any shaft. The MD sucked off the tee for me, but the HB is fantastic from EVERYWHERE.

HOT. The first hybrid i've liked. Works the ball both ways, very versatile. HIGHLY RECCOMENDED.

Flush hits produce great results but this club is not too forgiving. UST Irod shaft ==> lower than average trajectory. Definitely more of a players club. Resale value is pitiful.

Anyone still using these? I just grabbed a 21* Irod stiff off ebay. It says 3i/7w on sole but I'm hoping it replaces my TM Rocketbladez Tour 4i. I play a TM 2011 TP 18* to replace my 3i currently. Crossing my fingers..

Well, not even close, this thing goes waaaay further than my 3i let alone my 4i. Here's my trackman stats:

 

 

 

Not for holding greens, but the accuracy and boring flight are winners for off the tee. Can't have it all, can you? At least not at my swing speed.
