Wow! I've been keeping my radar up for a set of 1025M's! Major score!
[/quote]

A couple broken ferrules and no wedge, but I sure can't complain. Now I have to choose between keeping these or Hogan Apex II White Cameos... How to choose.

*I played these in high school, and regretted letting them go ever since. They have a unique feel, and I think the long irons are the easiest to hit of any forged iron I have hit. Too bad we got a couple inches of snow yesterday!!

Uh oh, sounds bad. Too many vintage sets, broken ferrules, missing clubs. You best pass those along to someone else...like me.

I will give you the first shot if I decide to give them up... Gonna give 'em a go in 35* weather tomorrow, so they could be on the chopping block pretty quickly.

Struck again last night at Goodwill. Got this Nike Tour Accuracy Staff Bag for $8. It was a little dirty, but some vinyl cleaner cleaned it right up, and it looks great. Doesn't look like it was ever used.

One of the best staff bags ever. Still have mine but its used for storage now as the handle pulled through and off the main tube.

Long time lurker. (on many forums here and audiokarma <- for classic stereo finds). Patience and luck of timing is all it is. I've found sets at thrift, flea markets, play it again, and a local pro shop with used rack.
I sometimes will pick up a single or two of the same model clubs in hopes of finding others. example: titleist 690's in pw and 6 iron. (sigh. so far it ended there)
a "used once" set of the Ben Hogan Apex blades ('99?) for $2.99 per club. A week later I was trying them out since they were in such new condition and met the guy who said he donated a set of them a week earlier to the thrift where I picked them up. Told him that is where I got them. He stated he won them in a tournament at one time and played them twice. Score for me, I guess.
Ben Hogan clubs seem to be the theme around here. I think I have duplicate sets of Apex Plus, Apex F.T.X, Edge and maybe something else stored away. most of those were during $1.99 per club prices at the local thrifts.

Some other thrift examples:
Taylormade RAC LT's 3-pw @ $2.99/club
Mizuno MP-30's 3-pw@ $1.99/club (with a $5.99 Mizuno T.P. Mills 3 putter w/cover that had the plastic on the head)
Mizuno MS-11's 3-pw @ $1.99/club
Macgregor Muirfield 3-pw, 1,3,5 wood @ $1.99/club
Macgregor Muirfield 20th 3-pw @ $1.99/club
Macgregor customs of some sort with the Castle Pines logo on them, 3-9. Similar to original Muirfields, but more smoothed out muscle on back. These may be related somehow to either just the course itself, or possibly in relation to The International tournament held there. $1.99/club
Wilson FG-17 2-pw, Wilson FG-53 Goosenecks 3-pw @ $1.99/club

At a local golf expo:
$100 got me three full sets, 3-pw of Titleist 735cm Chrome x2, and the third was a set of Mizuno MP-30's.

Flea market:
Ben Hogan cart bag with Apex Plus 1-pw + BH 56 degree wedge. $40
Macgregor VIP 1025c 3-pw + VIP wedge 56. $40. These were new and still have the original set price sticker from some store no longer in existence. I'd have to dig them out for the exact price, but $700 something.
Titleist Tour Model 2-pw vg cond $20

locally (used sales, Play it Again, Craigslist):
Mizuno MP-33 in vg cond 3-pw $100
BH Apex Plus 6-pw $25 (recent at PIA)

That is just some of what I've hoarded and what causes my wife to roll her eyes. Mind you, much of this collection spans over about 8 years of finds.
Many decent wedges I find, some decent drivers, fairway's, hybrids, and a few sets if got for a few buck like some of you find get sold or traded at a local pro shop that will either give trade value, or 75% of what the final sale was if put on consignment.

Sorry for the length of this post.

Bought a single item tonight that might simultaneously be the best, worst, and weirdest golf related thing I've bought.

Best because I paid $39, retail $599. Great training aid that I never would've bought at retail price.

Worst because the wife is going to freak out tomorrow when I pick it up and bring it home. My thrift store shopping might have to take a little break after this purchase.

Weirdest because I have no idea how to use it and I'm not exactly sure where I'm going to put it yet. But it looks pretty cool, so I'll figure it out.

Grabbed a full set of Hogan Radials for 10 bucks. Bag, headcover, putter, everything! All original grips.

Radials are 3-E, with the driver, 3 and 5 wood.

Putter is an apex bh-1

Bag is in awesome super clean condition. I am debating if I should just game these or flip them. I would have to regrip everything if i wanted to play them, but I am not sure I have the game for these.

We used to have one of those at the driving range of a club I used to be a member of. It's a warm-up/swing path training device. Pretty much what you see in the picture, you use the foam padded weighted handle to swing along the arc of the device to help groove your swing path. It's adjustable ( the arc part ). Actually many of the scratch and lower handicap guys used it quite a bit at the place I'm speaking of.

I was on my way back from dropping off a friend at the airport and swung by a thrift shop on that side of town.
I ended up picking this up for $8 bucks. No tears, working zippers, and only a couple scuff marks. It looks to be a raffle or prize from a charity event since it has a non-profit logo embroidered on the front pocket. Otherwise, in great shape

Much lighter than my Nike carry bag but the club shafts do get tangled a bit more than I am used to.
Anyone know if this is an 09 or 2010?

Trying to build a budget golf set. Picked up a Subaru cart bag for $10 in very good shape from Goodwill a week ago. Just picked up Tommy Armour 845s Oversize Stiff 4-PW (missing 8i) and JNS GW for $20 from The Salvation Army, looks playable. Still need a SW, LW, and driver to complete the budget set. If anyone has a 845s Oversize 8 iron available, please let me know.

Total today = $40

Powerbilt TPS 3-PW
Ben Hogan Special PW
Ben Hogan Special SW
Ben Hogan 6004 LW
Titleist 735.CM PW
Cleveland Highbore XLS 2 Hybrid

All the irons and wedges need new grips, probably going to go with whatever I can find cheap. Not too sure about the Powerbilt TPS irons, not too much info about them but they were in good condition minus the grips.

One store had the TaylorMade Ironwoods 1/3/5 in good condition, wasn't too sure if I should have picked them up as well. Still haven't found a putter.
