Rory's first tournament isn't until the 17th so they will probably make his announcement last... Those 2 guys are playin this week, so im guessing Nike will probably announce each one when they make their first start of the year.

Cobra did that with Fowler last year, they announced him the week of the Farmers.

I remember an interview with Watney and they asked him about his flat bill SF Giants hat. He said he has always been a flat bill guy off the course, but felt he would be labeled a follower now that they were becoming more prevalent on tour. Guess he changed his mind, and wanted to do something that was more "him".

I think a few years ago he was using an 11.5* driver. I remember reading an article (cant find it for the life though) that Titleist fitted recommend higher loft for his swing eventhough he had been using lower lofts during college. I had never thought pros swung anything over 9 at the time. That article was one of the reasons why I looked into a higher lofted driver (it actually worked out great for me personally).

Watney has always struggled getting the ball up in the air. He has always been very open about it. He has rotated between an 11.5 and a 10.5 Titleist driver for the last 3 or 4 seasons. I'm a club pro and I started using an 11.5 driver about 3 years ago. It made a huge difference or me too. With the right shaft, the ball flight is just right and not too high. The advantage is that I get a higher loft with low spin.

In case anyone hasn't noticed, Nike is announcing new staffers that are playing this week only. Since Stanley and Watney are the only 2 (besides Rory) who won last year and are playing in the Hyundai TOC event. My guess is they'll announce golfers 3 and 4 on the 7th, since they'll be playing in the 2nd Hawaiian Tournament and will then announce Rory the week he decides to tee it up for the first time in 2013.
