My son thinks the graphics are part of the plastic wrap and the driver head will be white as usual.
If you look at the bottom, it is clear there is a plastic covering on the crown.

That's was a good idea, but the graphics are really on the crown of the driver, not on the plastic wrap.

I don't understand posts like this at all. The basis of your argument is that people's feelings are hurt, which couldn't be much further from the truth, people simply called an ugly driver ugly. Then you tell people to get fit. Then you go on some anti-blades rant. Literally nothing you said had anything to do with the topic at hand... I think you might have guessed the wrong person with regard to who's feelings are hurt...

Of course it will. If you've been around the block enough you'll remember people said this about the white driver, the triangle driver. TaylorMade are the masters. It doesn't matter if it looks different.

Shortly before the release there will be lots of guerrila marketing done to the early adopters talking about how fantastic it is, how it blows everything else on the market completely out of the water. There will be early reviews by people with TM connections confirming all of this. When it's released the mainstream ads will show their staffers gaining 20-30yds of distance or whatever. They'll blanket tour events with pay for play deals, posters will be everywhere.

and in the end they'll sell tons, they have too much momentum right now. Remember in Zoolander when Mugatu says "he's so hot right now he could wrap his crap in tinfoil, stick some fish hooks in it and call it earrings?"

I should go back to the original R11 thread and link it here. That exposed the first white driver. We were torching that design. Yes I said "torch". There were 20 haters for every 1 person that liked it. We bashed that white like it was the ugliest thing ever designed.

Now look who is laughing. Small tweaks get first look approvals. Major shifts get hammered on day one. 2 ball, white, adjustability, white, etc.

Agreed, but eventually TM is going to slip from their lofty perch. It happens to everyone in the golf club business, and something as simple as bad graphics could start that slide.
