Yup that's the same way I do it since we don't have any LM's where I live. It's just a straight trial and error situation. If I buy a set of irons I try out the shafts then make an educated guess as to what shaft I may need to change to by watching ball flight.

If you want to hit any of the shafts ive got, let me know lance! We can throw them in either my 913 or 915 and make a few swings. Either driver or 3w. You have the speed for X-flex.. Why only tour stiff and not X?

I have a jdl 70x in my CT tour and love it, then my Bio Cell plus then the Biocell + wirh red tie came along. Love the feel of the stiff....i can feel the shaft loading. Plus my transition is smooth, so a stiff feels good.

The p95X is a beast. heavier static weight than im used to. very accurate but not as long as the rogue black 80x or the D+ 80. from what ive seen on the launch monitors the p95x launches a couple degrees lower, with less spin but carries about 7-10 yards less. I have yet to put titleist tips on the Fubuki K 70x and the KuroKage 70x to try in the 3w. The leaders in the clubhouse are definitely the D+ and Rogue black at this point.

thanks for the response, I'm excited to try it out. it's a little heavier than fairway shafts I have played in the past so we will see. all the hype on here made me curious. it should arrive tomorrow then it'll go into the club and sit 4 months until we dig out from the 2 1/2 feet of snow that just got dumped on us.

I feel your pain as far as the snow goes, middle of a blizzard here in Albany as I type this. im somehow wishing for a miracle 85* bout of weather for ny to melt this snow and get an early start to the golf season. 1st nysga tournament of the year for me is 4/27 at kaluhyat (Turning stone). That's the day the bag needs to be locked for the season!

Stopped into golf galaxy for an hour or so today just to kill some time while the gf was out shopping. Hit the vapor pro, the vapor speed and the g30 LS Tec. None of the 3 had shafts that were ideal for me in any way shape or form. Their monitor was reading a bit lower than where I'm usually at. Today it was reading 107-112. On flightscope I'm generally 112-118. Fastest ball speeds were registering with the G30 LS. The vapor pro honestly felt the worst. I have to hand it to ping. The g30 I was swinging with a tour 65 stiff shaft and saw spin around 2500.. The Nike's were both at or above 3000 rpms with the s+ blue and the Fubuki. I am glad I got my 915D2. It blows these sticks out of the water in my opinion. Anyways... As you all were...

Wow....busy little bee. Kind of glad to hear about the Nike. Was definitely on the top of my "try it" list. I still will but my brain is a lot more quiet today! Need to return a couple pairs of shoes that were too big but can wait til tomorrow now. Haha.

Me and smash@gouge and another buddy are hitting up Exit 8, and then off to GG tomorrow morning. Does Exit 8 have a real LM? I'm bringing my SLDR 9.5* w/ Ahina 70s. I want to hit a SLDR 430 9*, and probably the R15 430 both with my shaft. I'm about 99% positive I'm getting the SLDR 430 9*. I really can't stand white heads.

Yes northway 8 has a flightscope X2. Rob is who you want to deal with and tell him Travis told you to ask for him. After seeing the numbers on the golf galaxy sim I am absolutely thrilled with my Titleist purchase. The 915D2 is longer, more accurate, more forgiving, lower spinning and has better feel than any of the other drivers I've hit this year.
That list includes:

R15
Aeroburner
G30
Vapor speed + pro
815 Alpha (not the dbd)
Mizuno 850

I know I'm a huge Titleist fan, but of all of these, the 915's are the most well rounded sticks out there!

My Nike VrPro blades finally sold as well as the Covert Tour 2.0 driver I had listed. I'll be retiring my Sm4 TVD 51* and ordering a new Sm5 to fill that spot in the bag with a TI S400. Also looking at a new "flatstick". A 35" Scotty Cameron Futura X5r with a white Pistolero grip, and some custom paint fill is on the radar. All club purchases have to be finalized by 3/1/15 for this years "challenge" between Joey2aces and I. The nys amateur series tournament entries open on 2/16 so there's 7-10 of those I plan to enter as well.

Well, im happy to announce ive completed the purchases for my 2015 Gamer bag.

I finally got to see the AP2's in person last Sunday at Exit 8, or GG can't remember which one. Anyways they look awesome from address. I almost revamped my whole bag this winter so far. Lol and I was so proud of my bag not really changing much at all last year. Well it's actually almost the same. I replaced my irons and wedges with the same irons but different shafts, and the wedges are almost identical but TD wedges from Scratch. New driver shaft and 3 wood shaft too. My change my hybrid shafts too, but not sure yet. I have got a few hybrid shafts here at my house to choose from. But I hit the crappy stock shafts well. Dilemmas.

Thinking about doing a WITB next month after I get my wedges.

So I may or may not have gone a Lil off the deep end tonight and pulled a "duffners waggle" and picked up a brand new 915F 13.5* off the BST for a good price. So now that might get some rotation on tighter courses... Like Tuscarora country club in Syracuse for the nys amateur series (right joey2aces?) I've gotta learn to avoid the BST during snowstorms! Ugh.

I'm guilty of the same thing. Winter sucks and I get bored and start buying things I don't need, like two of the exact driver shafts, same weight, same everything just because it was so cheap and I get bored. During the actual season I never really buy anything.

A guy posted some great close up shots of his SM5 satin/tour chrome wedges in the "I just bought...." thread. Easily some of the best looking wedges ever. Super clean looking, compact and the finish is perfect.

You play in a lot NYS amateur tourneys? That's gotta be a lot fun. Our club only has one stroke play tourney a year the club championship. I wish they had more because they are always the most fun.
