Am I the only one that can't figure out how to use this for checking if your swing plane is ok? It seems that way so can someone tell me how they are verifying swing plane?
Would love to know this as well. I can't seem to work out how to make use of the plane part of the app either.

The Data will give you your Swing Angle at address & impact ... you already know the angle of your shaft/clubhead (around 60*).

The visual representation will show you your swing plane ... it's all right there. I may be missing something in your question?

For example: My 4 iron is about 60*. My address angle is 55* and my angle at impact is 55*. I address the ball with the toe slightly "up" ... which means my address angle is lower than my shaft/clubhead angle (55* vs 60*). My angle at impact is exactly the same as address ... whether my swing plane is flat or upright, I'm hitting the ball with the same angle I started with.

The video will help you see if you're "flat" or upright".

Take my opinions for what they're worth ... I'm 5.8, not a Pro and I spend more time with Swingbyte, than with SkyPro.

This is a great product I have found the data to be very accurate . You won't get the same results from video on less you have a third party filming you with a very good camera

Do you mean the 3D animation when you say "video"? What I did once in the past was take video of some swings and then correlated my on-plane swing with the same swing captured in skyPro. I then compared swing planes with this "golden" swing and subsequent swings. I guess my question is I'm not sure how to check my swing plane by just looking at the 3D animated swing path picture in skyPro.

Android is 75% of the smart phone market, when will this be on Android?
I don't mean to speak for this company, but there is a fundamentally different scenario when developing for android devices. With iOS devices, there is one operating system on most phones, and it's generally the latest release, and maybe 3 models of phones to consider. With Android devices, not only are phones not updated when releases come out due to OEM restrictions, but each OEM has their own extended / customized version of the OS, and there are literally hundreds of various models that all may not provide the best user experience.

It makes perfect sense for companies to start with iOS because of the power of the app store and the controlled nature of the platform to ensure you're users have a great user experience. It really shouldn't be that surprising either, this is common with many apps to follow this release pattern. You choose one horse to spend tons of money to develop for, and from that success develop the other... two different languages required, so it's like redeveloping 90% of the phone application. Software engineers understand this, where the general public thinks it's all magic, like they just need to add it to google play or something.

I was fortunate enough to get one of these and it's meeting my expectations very well. It's very easy and fast to calibrate, and the information it provides is incredibly useful.

I can work on areas I want to focus on with instant feedback and without the hassle of setting up video cameras and interpreting what I'm seeing. It alerts me about issues, and the one that I work on preventing, sure enough it tells me when I make a backswing too far inside etc. I like that i know my clubhead speed, tempo, etc., things that I didn't know for every club in my bag, and my practice is more productive. Yes, the ball flight gives you feedback, but it doesn't show you that you made compensations in your swing to make that ball flight (when you hit good shots). When I make swings with the same alert, I can go through each one of them and see how far off I was from proper position to train my feel vs real issues.

Honestly, this is great money spent, and I recommend it. I liked it at the pga show, and I like it using it at the range now... it's very cool imo and it helps my swing and practice.

Mine is on the way..can't wait,,,and can't wait for the update in the App Store. Calibrating the groove will be huge., Wonder if they will show swing speeds for different areas of your swing? Not just a cumulative total

Also, why does the 3 d image switch from right to left hand occasionally.,? Some in right hand..some in left? Again, just playing with the app .without the product in hand
if you're in demo mode it's probably just demonstrating various types of swings. when you get your device it will be your swing based on your profile and settings (you can set it for right handed player)

Version 1.3 rocks. All groove targets are customizable now. Makes for quick practice sessions. Also swing alerts, like groove targets, are customizable now. Have the app alert you anytime you don't meet a checkpoint you tell it to. Awesome. Works phenomenal. This is a kick a$$ tool now.

Thanks Skypro team!

EDIT: also works great with headphones now! You can listen to iPod or other music source on iPhone and fire up Skypro and Groove or swing tones overlay your music nicely! I could see this working great with the TourTempo app.....

Just need a way to lock the screen so we can slip in pocket without worry of touching controls. But it does work in pocket, you just have to be careful.

for golfwrx types, this thing is a no brainer... it really is. i cant see how there could be any reason you wouldn't get benefits out of it to monitor and teach yourself proper swing positions.

The exact same thing happened to me after 200 swings. Guess they never fixed their inventory and I didn't purchase until mid June. How do I contact Gord or Adam?

Thanks everyone! It's great to hear you guys like the app update. We're always listening and really do appreciate all your support and suggestions. Keep 'em coming!

Chris - glad to hear you ordered a unit! Good wish list items. We do already have some planned (tour swings and video sync), but I'll add the voice and export to camera roll to the list.
