Sorry for the poor photos. Shot they inside the TT Tour Van. Will try to get better shots outside tomorrow.

 

The "pro" is a new shaft and stands for progressive. With different step patterns for the long irons (as a group), then the mid irons & lastly the short irons.

 

Ian Poulter tweeted he was testing them in Orlando. Tim Clark tested them last night at Pebble and is having Titleist build him a set with these new shafts.

These spinners are going to very limited and Tour only so don't beat yourself up thinking you should have waited to get these

DG Pro is an all new design, not a new name/label for DG/DGTI. And that's all I can tell you for now.

The Black spinners were just a request from a couple of players/reps. Not a new product.

My question is why the need to try and perpetuate new shafts as "Dynamic Gold?" For years, that stood for a stiff tipped steel shaft with a VERY specific step pattern. Now, the brand is being diluted to every new shaft that comes out. I get it. The brand "Dynamic Gold" sells just like Project X does. But part of a smart business is to have differentiation between models. All you do is add confision when you have SL, XP, TI, Pro, 2.0, etc. after a model that was once the standard by which all others would be judged.

Come up with a name that works and market accordingly. Obviously "Monaco" didn't work. But it was a lot easier when you had "Dynalite," "TT Light," and other very specific names that made it easy to fit different types of golfers.

Marketing a Dynamic Gold Pro SL Tour Issue XP v3.5 will be very annoying in the future. Just sayin'...
